Inside windows
« on: June 16, 2021, 04:43:27 pm »
A customer of mine has just put a post on Facebook saying she had her inside windows done today by a new company who have set up to clean inside windows only, she has highly recommended them.....I will be highly recommending them too and have taken a note of their number🤣

Honestly it could be a really good little earner for someone. If you were only doing insides by appointment it壇 be easy enough.

They値l end up being busy idiots. Customers will only want to pay the equivalent to what they pay for the outsides. They値l have to take shoes off, move all ornaments from ledges, have the customer following them around chatting, list is endless.

Not to mention each job will be a one off and will have to fit around the customers schedule.

Rather them than me.

I知 considering it!
Edging towards retirement, well another 5 years and would happily give up the cold and wet, warm and wet days at 2 」50 jobs a day.
Like everything you need to have the client base and educate them
It has legs 😁

I致e just checked out their Facebook page and it痴 two females who have set it up........wonder if they池e fit👀👅
There probably is a gap in the market for this type of work as more window cleaners turn to WFP. Good luck to them but as Deeege says, better them than me.

I do insides.
The price is 1.5 the outsides.
I do them on days when its real heavy rain.
Probably 1 day every 2 months.
I build up a list and just call them on the day.
I need everything cleared and ready to go. I clean the glass and window sill below.
Works well for me.

I really only do it because customers ask, otherwise I wouldn't bother.
"Thank you for calling: if you have a 1st floor flat, mid terraced house, lots of dogs, no parking, no side access, or no sense of humour, please press hold!
For all other enquiries, please press1"

why in 10 years?im not even 50 yet......customers these days have so much junk(expensive blinds/ornaments,etc) in their houses, why would i want to be inside cleaning their windows?ive always liked being outdoors....

it wont work mate and ill tell you why....

1.customers dont want insides cleaning on a regular enough basis
2.itll only ever be the odd customer who wants this done so you wont make much money
3.they need to be pre arranged and be home while your cleaning
4.you ll still need to clean outsides too so you ll still need a van and all your wfp gear
5.you could be accused of stealing(its happened to me!)
6.easy to knock over and break things when cleaning insides
7.you can almost guarantee a customer will want them doing on sunny day so you ll be sweating like a pig! ;D
8.they are a pain!
price higher/work harder!

Inside windows are easy as long as it痴 not having to take a  double ladder inside etc,I don稚 do a huge amount I値l go weeks without doing any but I usually charge the same as the outside again + 50% of the outside price so 」100 job would be 250.
If it痴 an inside and out job every clean 3 monthly and a good payer anyway I値l charge the same as the outsides only, the insides I do like this are never like a first clean or get that bad.
