Self isolating
« on: May 31, 2021, 09:47:49 am »
Wasn’t feeling too well last week, had to work short days Tuesday and Wednesday as was feeling lethargic and had upper body muscle aches. Was feeling even worse on the Thursday morning so decided to book a Covid test more as a precaution than anything else as my wife works in school. I’m feeling a lot better now but can’t go back to work (wife is also having to stay off work, daughter off school) until the test results come in. They say two days for the results, but here I am sat at home 4 days later and still nothing😢..........might have to claim the fourth grant at this rate😜

Sorry to hear that, you haven't got much time if you're going to claim.
"Dear customer,
The deadline for claiming the fourth grant is almost here.
If you’re eligible, you only have until midnight on this coming Tuesday, 1 June 2021 to make your claim."

Why don't you get a test sent to you ? Immediate result.

They're free from Govt website.

Not long after I posted I phoned to chase up the result, gave a few details and was told that my test was negative, so I went out and got some work done, phew!

That link would be for a lateral flow test. If you have any symptoms it’s a PCR test you get, after which  you need to self isolate until they text/email the result.

Testing and results are done regardless of bank holidays

I think Bungle was questioning the fact I was working a bank holiday😉

Exactly my point . Do you think any side effects should start immediately after the first jab . Because the vaccine has not been tested medium or long term you dont know . But people only report any side effects within 48 hours . But who knows ?
