Hi,

I am looking to use spring water to from a ground level well ( constantly filled from the spring to about a foot and a half).

I have the following :

2 x ten inch filters
40/40 ro unit
v11 controller.
Booster pump details below
Pump Head Size : 400Lph
Flow Rate: 120 - 600 LPH
Details:         The rotary vane pump is brass made with a stainless steel AISI 303 rotor. The pumping chamber and the vanes are in carbon graphite. This rotary vane pump should not be allowed to run dry as it will quickly cause damage to the graphites. The nominal flow rate of this pump is 400LPH.
2 + ibcs
TITAN TTB582PMP 750W WATER PUMP ( currently used for filling the van with pure water)
My aim is to fill 1000 l tank within 24 hrs when necessary with the system being automated as it is far from where i am living.

It has been suggested to fill 2 tanks ( 1000l ibcs) that feed the booster pump by gravity pressure, which then in turn fill 1000 litre tank with pure water.

The main thing is to have an easily controllable system that will not allow the pump to run dry.

Can you recommend any body who has the knowledge to come and set up this system, or any comments or the best way to set this up.

I am based in Somerset nr. Bath.

Many thanks

Tom

I filled my van mounted system from a well for a while, also had a 40 40 ro fitted, regarding the pump I had to purchase a  well pump, this was required as the pump could pump the water with enough pressure to force water through the ro,if your pump is similar you will be ok
The other thing to watch is if you have a lot of rain the water will be filling the well quicker and will possibly not have time to settle this will shorten life of you pre filters.

I started off using spring water, TDS of 060😀

Used a ram pump to push water up to a header tank. Then out though di.

Are you making things hard for yourself, not purifying at home? It’s all doable though.

I would personally have a sediment filter going in to your holding tank (pre purification one)  as this will ensure less organic material is sitting in it.
If WiFi or internet is available you can get WiFi  operating   switches. I use Sonoff my self, pump timer, temp monitor.

As said worth looking at the time and cost difference to doing it at home. Travel and time cost often don’t show on balance sheet. Hope it goes well.

Thanks for your reply...I have been sitting on this issue for around 6 weeks now, seems to be a mammoth task knowing what hard ware to buy  for it to work out.
Seems bespoke is expensive !!!!
Setting up the home system may be the best thing although not ideal due to the layout of the house, parking neighbors being disturbed etc...
