Well they have re-sent the form and am still not happy with it....wanting expected turnover, suppliers I deal with who aren't in the UK, what %age of monies I receive in cash, cheque, electronic payments etc and similar for paying out.
My name address and trading name is on the envelope I received it in but they want that plus paper proof of the address and also my sort code and account number.

Just ignore it or bu11shoot it up 😁

Ask them where in the T&C you are required to provide the info they now require.
Or just reply £1 to each question.
Sounds like they are doing some market research to work out a new money making scheme to earn them lots of money from hard working people.

I have an HSBC business account and an HSBC personal account with Mrs Gold.

I used to pay north of £25 a month when all my cash and cheques went into my business account. Then I started paying cheques into the joint account, then cash too (if I didn't spend it).

Then the personal account started to allow photos of cheques (but not the business account) so any cash and all cheques go straight to the joint account. (Which is free banking)

My monthly charge on the business account is always less than £10 nowadays and I go to the branch about once a month to pay in cash instead of once a week pre Covid.
It's a game of three halves!

I don’t understand what your problem is. If they’re asking for sort code and account number, that’s all readily available on lots of websites if you’re a business taking payments and it’s certainly on every cheque printed.

It’s a bank not the tax man.

I have had these going on for about 4 years, its all to do with money laundering, they want to know your turn over to compare to what you pay into the bank,  its something that wont go away they will keep on asking, they have moved my account from a small business account  as due to turn over i now longer can be classed as a small business in their eyes.

That's what I was thinking.

I’ve just been using NatWest personal account since I went from Ltd to self employed. So far so good and basically cost free.

Not really any need to have a business account as a sole trader, I’ve always used my current account, 0 fees and perfectly legal/allowed.

I don’t understand why anyone who’s a sole trader would have a business account? What’s the point?

Easier to keep track of who has paid when it's not all mixed in with normally daily ingoings/outgoings in current account.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

That you have to pay for...

That’s my point, a current account is 100% free for a transactions in and out. No fees.
