Hi
Anyone use one of  these and would you recommend?
The price looks decent.
The membrane is expensive but if they last that's O.K.

Give Gaps Water Uk a call.
They will sort you out.
I had problem today so contacted them.
Great advice, no pressure and sorted problem.
Even saved me £80!
If you do not know much about 4040 systems...try them.
Hope you get sorted.

There is a seller on Ebay selling those housing for £90 - I picked one up but not used it yet asa friend gave me a champ housing the next day  ::)roll

There membranes are good tho..

but a housing and membrane should really be setting you back about £280 - £300

Are they any good?
I need 250 ltr 2 or 3 days a week.
Still not sorted in case the house move falls through.

For 250 litres 2 or 3 times a week I would have thought a boosted domestic 300gpd r/o system would be plenty. The sort of thing you find on Ro-man or eBay for around £200ish all in, cheaper than a 4040 or 4021 housing and membrane.

Thanks for the advise I think a 4040 is a bit over the top for the amount we need. I can produce and store on the 4 or 5 days a week not working.

If I was starting wfp again, given the smaller demand for pure that I had back in 2010 I would have gone straight for a 300gpd system in to a 600 litre ibc.
The system would always be running to keep the ibc topped up, and I wouldn't find myself scrimping on water use on jobs. If you find demand increases, just stick a cheap booster pump on, it should provide that faster fill for the times of higher demand. The 300 gpd is more likely going to be closer to 100ish (still around 400 litres) as everyday conditions are usually very different to the projected output.

Where abouts do you live.
If near Guldford I have a 450ltr a day you can have.
You will need to get new pre  filters, resin and two ro's but thats it.

Thanks that's really good of you.
West Yorks a bit far!
Still, I'll gladly pay for the shipping if you can be bothered packing it up.
Might be a good way to learn, they look pretty complicated ???
