I made the switch Andy end of last year and am very happy with it

It just makes you’re day easier and you’re less tired by the end of the day and it’s fun to use... which does make a difference

We’ve found that the most noticeable difference is they actually make the hose much easier to get out!

Also obviously, and most importantly, you won’t get the wear and tear on your joints over time and be living with chronic pain in your shoulder as you age...

Extreme poles electric hose reels are both a no brainer if you don’t have the cash stick it on a card, best money you’ll spend to change you’re working day.

Good news - with a little hook on the chain back on in five minutes !  ;D thanks for the help

But now the motor doesn't turn - checked fuse all good - looked in the black electric box to see this... I think someone has pulled the cable - anyone got  a picture where the wires should go - cheers

I am Not an electrician, but based on logic
One wire will come from the motor then to the switch
One wire will come from the motor then to the battery
One wire will come from the switch to the battery

So I presume the two middle wires will go together. Try tracing the wires back or use a 12v tester to confirm this.

That would be my thinking but thats a hell of a way to be pulled out - or are  the 2 middle terminals  connected inside the block ?

If you look at the outside of the box 4 wires come in one side and 2 wires come in the other side , so it would make sense they are in the same block( it’s the easiest route)

Whats the recommendation for which to purchase? And the battery that runs them I just take that out the van and charge it just like my leisure battery. Ps Daz please dont slag me but still haven't got my extreme but going to take the plunge very soon 🙈😜

Thanks! So what electric reel - and how easily does the hose come off the reel compared with a handreel? (I tend to loop enough of the pole hose to get to my initial start point)

Hi mate.
It’s a second generation waterworks one with the metal sides.
Looping or pulling enough off is also how I do it. There can be some overrun if you just wang a load off, but this can be solved but pulling/or walking it out steadily. It can also be tightened to stop this.
You also need to guide it back in through a rag to spool on the reel.. It’s an a5se if it goes over the side of the drum/reel
I know the way you work is light, but I’m sure you’d enjoy a lecy reel
Tony
