Also you got to remember that taps that have been used in the past are designed to off /on now and then.
NOT continuously turn off/on this is why they eventually leak.
So all we have done differently is used a garden hose nozzle which has a thumb off/on switch which was designed to be continuously used.
Well H. The tap I use is a small metal bodied industrial tap that cost me £8 about ten years ago. The rectus fitting screws into it. A 6mm tail screws in the other end. It has never leaked.
So as usual, your bodgit and click idea is of no relevance to me.
