Use it for that all the time. It says on gardeners website that there’s no returns if you use chemicals through it apart from tfr and similar. That’s what I use so it’s fine

It wouldnt be advisable to put chemicals through any backpack.

They are all the same inside, cheap chinese components.

Yes we use them for hypo all the time and get at least 3 years out of them , it will invalidate the warranty but at £115  for over 3 years use that’s good value for money , thoroughly recommend them for chemical applications

Virosol, ubik, fairy etc will be fine, it's not advisable to run hypo through them though.

We  have several Gardiner back pack that are regularly used for  Virosol and hypo we do loads of softwashing with them just rinse out after hypo use and they are fine , we have Virosol mix in one all the time , it won’t be covered by warranty I know but we have never had an issue using hypo in them since they came out , I certainly would recommend them  for that use we use hypo very week in them ., obviously diluted but still strong mixes at times .

When I’m doing small softwash jobs and can’t be bothered to faff about with my main softwash system, I use the Backpack sprayer, had it ages and never had any issues, it’s amazing how much hypo they can handle!

Nice to see some questions never change  ;D  nor the excellent advice from very helpful members.
(hope many are well)  I see, even H-man is still going strong as well  ;D ;D

As many have said, ensure you rinse the unit out well, afterwards, then all will be good.
Gardiners back packs are excellent for this but if you have the time and basic (very basic) electrical skills you can quite easily build one as well.

Things are going so/so cheers.
So I may have mentioned before, but im down to working from car, with tanks of water, a gardiners back pack and a clx pole for 2 days in a month.
(for any newbies on here, Im NKservices (youtube), using a diy 500ltr, hot water, diy electric reel, full carbon pole window cleaner)  haha Hate it   ;D  but can grin and bear it.  I really dont know how guys get on full time with a trolley system.
Its also hard turning down work on a daily basis, be so easy to get back to full time if my circumstances improve any.

(sorry Swanson for Hi jacking a little of ur thread )
Tho glad this forum is still going strong and hope you all have not been overly touched/effected by this pandamic health/emotionally ways.

alternatively, depending on suppliers on ebay ir amazon, it might be quicker to build one.  An electrical box, a 12v pump (used to be around 15quid), a digital flow controller display with analogue dialing and some hose.  A empty 25 ltr type drum and some spare hose.  You can either fit to a trolley or leave it seperate for storage reasons if it is purely for the odd chemical type jobs you have?
