Really poor hose management on his part, the guys obviously having his pants down but no sympathy from me the way he didn't seem to take any care going past the vehicles.

Maybe I need to watch the video again. I didn’t see that when I watched it. I wasn’t giving it my full attention though... wasn’t the most gripping home movies I’ve seen... not exactly Ozzy man is he  ;D

He dragged the hose against the bodywork. Lazy!

He looked like he works for someone else 🤣🤣 either that or he was having a bad day,as said pulling the hose against or near vehicles like that is asking for grief especially with cameras about the days of having a pee round the side of a house are long gone, cameras everywhere these days lol.

its an interesting thread - how some say he did it accidently on purpose  ::)roll

some of these guys really think they are superior to others because they get a loan to buy a flash motor

I don't think I've ever read a Pistonheads thread populated by so many, complete and utter whingers.
They clearly all lead perfect, sheltered existences and are so much better than the rest of us.
I doubt many of them have friends though.
Half of them sound about 12!

There were no V8 powered Tuscans as it was a later car.
Are you thinking of the older Griffith and the Chimera?

I love the older Rover V8 TVRs and the wedges from the eighties too.
Very low tech and fix with a hammer.
I find that very appealing.

The wc agreed to pay, the owner of the car is a complete arsehole for putting the vid on line, absolutely no need. Accidents happen, and as long as the wc deals appropriately then that should be an end to it, no need to potentially damage the blokes business..

More to the point car is a pile of poop and that colour needs changing any way  ;D its a tough one that hard to see if the hose hose touched the car the wc looked a bit lazy so could have pulled it tite across the car  ???

Theres absolutely no way that the hose would of caused all them scratches!esp the deep long scratch on the bumper....

The window cleaner is foolhardy though...he should of made sure he didnt touch the car at all with his hose when he was dragging it....

Chipsaway would charge less than £100 to get rid of the scratches IMO...
price higher/work harder!

Terrible design you would get scratches just driving it normally the way the rear bumper is directly above the rear tyre, they sound good but you couldn’t daily something like that sounds like he’s running it on a budget trying to get that poor sod to cough up.

Ha, he's linked this thread himself.

He reckons there's some "absolute weapons" on here. I suppose that's fair enough  ;D

This made me chuckle though:

The light horizontal scratches could easily have been him. I’ve done it myself and had to polish out some scratches on a customers car . Taught me a lesson
But the deep vertical scratch I would say no way. I reckon he knows about that one and couldn’t believe his luck when the others showed up in the same spot . Now he can blame someone for all of them

It's now up to 10 pages!

The 100 Years War was resolved quicker than this.

My favourite quote so far, " Have you checked the mark for any hose DNA. It could help prove it one way or another. "

Give it a day or so and David Caruso will be along. And his sunglasses.

His reason for taking a close up photo of that same panel just days before was to "admire"the shine. Rubbish. If someone is taking a picture to admire the shine on their newly polished car, why would they take a close up of the rear wheel arch???
Seriously what are the chances of him taking a close up snapshot of that exact same spot 2 days before accusing someone of scratchings it.
Also to adjust my original post on him editing the photo, I simply meant he slightly cropped the picture so you couldn't see the scratches ( or that large main scratch ) to make the panel appear perfect days before. Easy to do.
Reality is he was taking pictures of any imperfections on the vehicle that needed sorting and by pot luck the window cleaner skims roughly the same area and he siezes his chance.
In 12 years of window cleaning I have run my hose across all sort of cars including a Bentley and never scratched a single one.

The best thing about that thread is the references to us "low paid" window cleaners. Lol 😆

Window cleaner was 100% responsible, even if he didn’t cause THE scratch (he did) his clumsiness landed him in this mess.

OP on the piston heads thread comes across as a total bellend.

More interestingly, he seems to have picked up that a certain poster on here, who posts multiple times per thread, is completely clueless on all things cars and other subjects. Wonder who that could be.......
