George and windows 10
« on: March 10, 2021, 06:10:44 pm »
Hi
Has any one encountered printing problems with George when operating windows 10.
My HP printer just won’t entertain it and goes into error code.

Kind regards David

No problem here. I run George on a laptop and went Windows 10 with it last year.

Brother printer which is several years old and which took George printing from Windows 7 from my old PC.

It's a game of three halves!

Yep I’ve been through this ... set up a thread on here, got support from George and never got to the bottom of it. I just use a lead when printing from George now

This may or may not help you. There are some crazy things happening to w10 with all these recent updates.

I have a Samsung laser printer and have always used the Samsung software to print. W10 was linked to that printer.

I noticed that under settings, then printers and scanners there is a box checked that allows Windows to manage my default printer.
Unchecking that box sorted my print problem out. (Mine was that it ignored printing in Landscape mode even if I highlighted that orientation.)
