Any of you guys who use Extreme 47 day in day out
How long do you get out of them before they are shot?

I have an extreme 35 it’s Whippy at an angle but fine for straight up and down,I’ve had mine at least 5-6 years and it’s still like new I’ve hardly ever had to adjust clamps.

Surprised you would need a 47 foot pole everyday, take it you must do a lot of commercial?

As for the extreme, ive only used them at 25ft but they are fragile. Snapped my last one well inside a year. Cant see it lasting long used everyday...

I clean a lot of 4/5 story apartment blocks, and hotels . I do try and mix the days with a bit of lower level stuff but usually there is not a day where I don’t get the 47 out 🤓

my xtreme 47 is around 8 or 9 years old(old style clamps)......its still in good condition but it only gets used around 10 times a month.

i bought it in a sale for £850.....

Pretty good value for money Daz.
About £100 a year.
I gather you know price higher for higher level work?

Had mine quite a few years but last month snapped 8th section of 9 so need another one. Pretty robust but wouldn't use it when it's windy, gets flown around like a kite with strong side winds

My 47 (with two hardly used extensions) has never been used day in and day out. It's a mix of the old stepped larger sections but the top three are from my last extreme 25 when I replaced it so they are smooth.

The larger sections are original and the three largest don't even have the newer clamps. I reckon it's about nine years old.

If you are doing stuff like that regularly an ultimate pole is far better more ridged , much better in wind , it is a bit heavier but far superior to the extream

I spent many years lugging the early ionics 65 ft carbon pole about. Yes it was very rigid but the weight took its toll. When the super lite modular came out it was a dream. Went on to the Extreme
as it was light and telescopic( less faff than super lite)
I much prefer a lighter pole
Granted never tried an ultimate 🤔

It’s a bit heavier but much easier  to use than an extream at height no ware near as much flex

I mainly use mine for larger domestic jobs,skylights,high 3 and 4 storey windows and solar panel cleaning....

I've had my money's worth out of it but I reckon I'll get another 8 or 9 years out of it again yet!I've never replaced a section either....

I dont actively seek higher level work but I will take it on if it suits me....

I use my xtreme 47 fairly regularly, and also on one job with two extensions, bringing it up to over 60ft.

They’re good poles, but the ultimate seems the better choice for working at height regularly. Check them out instead?

The xtreme does get pretty bendy at 47ft, but it’s defo useable at height, you wouldn’t want to be using an slx or similar at those heights!

I would appreciate the extra rigidity. But the cost is also a factor for the ultimate it is a good £600 more for a 46ft. Also a foot shorter than the Extreme 47.
I could make my Extreme stiffer if not extending each section fully ,  say to 46ft rather than the full 47 if you catch my drift😊

Yes I understand what you are saying , but if you are doing high stuff like that all the time then surly £600 is nothing less than one jobs price , I had the extream 47 with extensions in all my vans and they were ok , but trying to do 6-8 storey was virtually impossible with the bend in them , sold the lot and bought the ultimates they are bigger diameter and heavier but much easier to control and less pressure needed  to be applied to the brush to clean . Also much better in light winds .

Never compromise on cost with a pole that size.

I have an Ionics 45 carbon with kevlar, just wondering if the Gardiner Ultimate pole is very similar weight wise and rigidity wise, ....anyone know? I normally use Ova8 pole whilst the extreme is snapped at section 8.

Second pole I ever bought was an Ionic 45ft carbon for commercial stuff which I keep as a spare, got me started on commercial but it is quite heavy but reliable in strong winds
