Hence the reason for 350 ltr tank - the whole thing has to be under 750KG

Darran

From what I understand it’s almost impossible to insure there trailer systems that’s why ionics stoped making them , they were being stolen to order years ago ionics did the small trailers and also the bigger ifor  williams 4 wheel trailer systems I did look at one  when I first went wfp but decided against it .

I looked at trailers - mainly for pressure washing but all these young'uns are not longer allowed to tow a trailer on a van without an extra test - which when I last looked cost just over a grand  :-X

Cheaper to put them on a dedicated van

I think (not sure) you may tow a trailer uptown 750 kg in a car without having a seperate test if using a car

350 litre tank withan  RO on an erde trailer cost £6900

Those Erde trailers aren't cheap. By the time you've got all the optional extras you would need like the cover you could be in for £2000. It's still not a braked trailer either.
Xline charge a premium for their systems. Add another£1000 for the r/o and it still needs to be fitted.
If you work in a hilly area never uncouple the trailer to turn it around. If you do you have more balls than brains.

My lad is 45 and he just took his test before the new regulations came in so he can drive a 7.5t van etc on his car licence. Nowadays they can only go to 3.5t.

You can tow a trailer with most cars up to 750 kgs gross. There is also a clause that stipulates the weight of the car in relation to the trailer weight. In other words you couldn't tow a fully laden 750 trailer with a Smart car.
I towed a similar trailer system when I first started wfp with my Suzuki Carry van. I had to carry 100 liters of water in the van as ballast plus my weight to make the combination road legal.
The moment I got out of the van the combo wasn't road legal. >:(

Spruce your right regarding the price, trailer top, electrics, spare tyre it all added up, we will definitely be taking a hit on it, but it has earned him great money in a short time, as it will who ever buys it

Nothing made of metal ever appreciates unless its vintage. It is certainly a consideration for someone without a van and a secure place to store it.

Yeah I was thinking that if you don’t have anywhere secure to store it I can’t see it being around for long lol.

I saw a transit with an Erde trailer on the back cleaning on Friday. Thought it might be your nipper Jonny.
