I know this is a bit late after the big freeze has gone.
But I thought I would share what I do so as to not have any cold related problems.
My van is on the street so can't have electric to it.
So I use a car tyre inflator to purge all the water out of my system and by using a gate valve I am able to clear the tube from my tank. As I use hozelock connections, I remove my pump to the house to keep warm.
I had an old tyre pump and put on a male hose tail coupling. (Picture)

By using a nylon reducing connector I am able to join a Series 21 Female hose coupling to the hose with the aqua stop connector. I just connected to my system and clear out all the water.
When clearing the pipe to the tank, once I turn on my pump. I close the valve mid way and this allows the air to stay in the tube instead of water.
It works for me.


And I suppose, that's about it.

I'm looking for a way of securing my pump permanentlyin van but at the same time being able to remove it on the odd cold nights.....some kind of bracket to fix permanently in van that I can just slot the pump into and maybe screw it to.

Genius idea that.

We blow our hoses out with an air compressor. The pump we just disconnect and switch on for a minute.

Affix your pump to some small board, then use command strips to affix the board in the van. Can then be pulled out whenever you want.

Check out You Tube on using them. Brilliant for putting controllers in too. No drilling. I've got them everywhere!! The missus put a stop on me putting one on the coffee table to hang the TV remote

Will they take the weight of a pump....not sure what they weigh w/o  going outside......says up to 16lbs.

I'd say easy. I'd put four strips (one in each corner) on the board (pump on the board) . The You Tube vids should show you how strong they are.

Just make a pump box.
I made one from one of those really useful storage boxes. It houses everything Inc . Battery, pump, strainer, controller and even a permanent ctek charger and with leak free quality metal hoselock ports for quick removal and installation. I've had this set up years and as well as easy to frost protect its made changing vans very simple.
