Hose adapters
« on: February 16, 2021, 07:54:02 pm »
My delivery hose from home tank to van tank is 1"  lay flat hose from machine mart . It's crap because it kinks and the flow stops. I had the hard plastic reinforced stuff from soap national but that was crap too as it doesn't roll up to put indoors when frost is forecast . So thinking of going back to garden hose 1/2" but need adapter as pump outlet is 1" and I have the trigger attachment on the other end also 1" where can I get one ? Well 2  actually

1/2 inch hose will b painfully slow

Most lay flat is utter rubbish - I used a good quality that didn't get any pin hole etc..

I'll find the link

The rigid inch hose is the best that’s what I use it’s not cheap though I think 10 meters  I got last year for a spare  was around £100,don’t quote me on that but I think it was 100 odd.

Yes that's my preferred hose - but should be able to get it somewhere nearer £5 p/m

I use 1 1/2” reinforced transfer hose and it coils alright, you just have to coil it the same way each time then eventually it will coil neatly enough.
You could also get 1” Male and Female nylon couplings which may help.

Yeah I think mines 1-1/2” the darker green one seems slightly thicker to look at but that’s better it’ll go over the gun and transfer hose easier, saying that though when you use boiling water for doing this when it cools down you don’t really need any jubilee clips to hold it on with.

Thanks for the link Darran,,I will see what a local hydraulic company and see what they do. The first lot I got from S B was heavy duty rubber but they don't sell it now. NWH, I used the green and  white stuff but it split.

I use PF 1" tricoflex yellow hose with a trigger. It's possible to coil it quite neatly on top of my static tank, but I only needed about 5 or 6 meters of it.

If you need 10+ meters of hose and coiling it up to carry indoors is unmanageable try smaller lengths joined with geka couplings.

Yeah I’ve got a split in mine too but it’s had a good innings.
