Duck off snow
« on: February 10, 2021, 11:49:07 pm »
As title says.

I can see why so many window cleaners pack up in winter

I’m getting no end of new ones. Just can’t get out n do em ;D water freezing on windows this morning from pole on shadowed side of house. Even bloody warm bucket water was freezing on bottoms when doing traditionally! God loves a trier tho managed 4 hours this afternoon  :)

Hour and a half to defrost water system today managed to get 250litres out of it before pipes froze solid again. That’s 2 days tops only wfp using sparingly .

Roll on March

You've just got to roll with the punches this time of year Jim, least it puts off a lot of newbies who read Daz's posts of record days and months and think it's a walk in the park, a harsh winter is like natural selection in this game with the weak and underprepared falling by, soon be March shorts and beer Gardens, those were the days

Not talking about at the moment in penguin 🐧 weather but the normal winters we have is enough to see off new start ups,you can either put up and work in the cold or you can’t I don’t think it’s something you learn to deal with.
I know people that just aren’t made to work outdoors in the cold weather it’s almost physically painful for em,I had a bloke with me years ago he looked in pain and it wasn’t really cold tbh it was a couple above freezing 😂.
You don’t know cold till you’ve worked this job traditionally no gloves ali ladders for weeks on end and 10-15 years ago they were proper prolonged winters cold from October round till April, when men were men 🤣🤣

What about the lads you’ve got working for you now, are they ok working in this weather?
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?
