Guttervac mainly full of water
« on: February 02, 2021, 05:26:01 pm »
I'm fairly new to using the guttervac. I'm finding that mainly the tanks is 3 parts full of water and only 1 part gutter debris. I'm finding it difficult to dispose of the contents of the tank as obviously cannot empty it water and all into customers green bin. So I've been emptying it onto their grass to let the water drain away then picking up the moss etc to put into green bin. It's a real time consuming method I know and am thinking if I had a filter would be useful to hold onto the moss etc
Probably a silly question but hopefully somebody can share a much easier method!

OK. I guess the water would permeate the hessian leaving just the debris inside the sack

Hi Steve

Yes it’s a pain that, I have Atom
I tell customers I don’t have a license to dispose contents.

I then say the best way is to empty contents onto secluded patch in garden 🪴
As their bin will stink.

Still aggro!

Was thinking of adding a female rectus fitting about inch from bottom of Atom drum

Then when full push in pole tube with male rectus fitting
Point where liquid goes, drain, lawn, outside road drain etc.

Fitting could cause eventual splits in drum 🤦‍♂️

Maybe a cheap self symphon kit 🤔

hessian bag

That’s what we do! But we Empty into a flex tub then pour into the bag, water then drains out the bag leaving the gutter muck inside the bag! Empty bag in bin and you can reuse the bag

Our. VAcs come with a drain but that doesn’t always help

We pour the water into a suitable part of the garden then shovel the bldebris into heavy duty sacks any water left again goes on the garden

That idear would work but a rectus fitting is way to small you need at least 1/2-3/4 inch I have a drain tube on my vac 3/4 and Evan that won’t drain well it blocks with silt .
