Alex the majority of posts in this thread fund the jet capsules not popular, can we get an update from yourself please mate regarding any possible return to selling the old jets again? Or at least having the choice when buying a new brush to use capsules or original jets. Your poles and brushes are the best on the market I M O, is there any way this can happen?
Thanks for the feedback everyone.
RPCCS – I agree that if I was basing my information on just this thread then we would have a problem 😊 We do value the opinion of the 9 posters that have posted on this thread and are not happy with the jet capsules, but we have the advantage of having interactions with over 20,000 customers using these jets and the numbers that have issues are a small fraction of a percent of users.
These jets have been out in the field for over 18 months now and the vast majority (99%+) of users do not have an issue with them at all. From those that have communicated issues to us we have collated their information and seen that there are measures that can be taken to prevent the issue happening again for them. These are our findings:
Problem -
1. Using a Univalve – repeated pulling action of this modification will pull apart the jet capsules – with the previous jet design, the T connector or the plastic fanjets used to get damaged by this action
2. Using a swivel – can put extra strain on full swivel
3. Catching on bushes/door handles/etc. – this has always caused damage and can affect jet capsules, T connectors and old style fanjets
The jet capsules are tough and will last a long time in standard use – generally they will outlast the brush itself and can then be re-used. However once the jet capsule ring has been pulled out the first time it will not successfully work again, even if pushed back in – this is because the metal teeth inside will have damaged and worn away the plastic mount and then when pushed back in, it will be easier to pull out again – the only solution once happened is to replace or glue in.
When a customer has contacted us with an issue as above, we troubleshoot through the reason why this may have happened and advise accordingly – not to ‘find fault’ just to ‘find out the cause’ in each case. As a gesture of goodwill we will replace the jet capsule in this first instance at our cost (even if the setup is modified from standard), along with our recommendations to prevent the issue happening again.
Solution -
1. Using a Univalve – The solution here is to pull through enough gooseneck tube and then secure the tube so that the hard pulling on the Univalve cannot damage the connections. Soon this will not be needed when we fully switch across to our new gooseneck design.
2. Using a swivel – If using a swivel then extra hose also will need pulling through before clamping (similar to when using a univalve) as the hose length needs increasing when on full swivel. Soon this also will not be needed when we fully switch across to our new gooseneck design.
3. Catching on bushes/door handles/etc. – some users find this happens frequently and for such users the Close Coupled Jet Assembly not only protects the jet capsules, but removes the jet hose loops and makes working around handles/bushes etc. much easier.
Once you have everything in place for your particular set-up/style of cleaning, you should have no further problems as many forum members have already said. If you need help working through the solution, then please get in contact with our team at
