I'm with slacky, several have failed on me. The old brass ones never had an issue.

I’ve never had one fail yet since launch , the key is to have spares anyway , 6 on the poles plus these  ;D

I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

Don’t like em either, but after a while you’ll have a few old brushes to strip off for spares

Mine keep braking i liked the old brass ones hassle free  for the  life of the brush i fitted a new one and it broke wile connecting the hose i use a univalve but with the exceed hose stop to stop tugging on jets the worst thing is the holes are so big u cant drill new holes for brass jets

Not broke one yet and I agree with other posters that brass jets are better. I have had a blockage in one jet that made it spray like a fan jet, poked around with a paper clip and it seems to be sorted.

On a side note, why do Gardiners brushes have less bristles these days?

I cant see any benefit from them at all though, they are crap they fall to bits, I have a medium mixed with 1 jet spraying ten to 2 as well  ;D

They do play a pretty tune when the pump is turned up, saves listening to the crap on the radio.

I also have jet capsules Alex and find the left pipe keeps coming out of the back now the jet. I use Univalve with o ring to stop the pole hose pulling too far is there a way to hold the pipe and robber seal in place?

The key is to having enough spare hose above the clip and ensuring that the clip does not slide over time.

If a jet capsule has already been pulled apart by the pulling action to actuate a univalve then generally it will only go back together temporarily - the solution is to replace the jet.

We do have a new design Angle Adapter soon to be released in the standard size (already available in the longer size) that completely isolates any pulling of the pole hose or a Univalve from the brush head components - https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/quick-loq-angle-adapter-type-1-long-top-arm-gooseneck.html
Yep got plenty of hose spare, only seems to be one side comes out though, always the left. I too preferred the old style fan jets, much simpler.

Had the same issues with the capsules coming apart till I switched to the close coupled assembly.  Had no problems since and also use a swivel.  I actually find the fan versions work better than the old style plastic ones and are dead easy to unblock should they need it unlike the old plastic ones which were a pain to unblock.

we have had problems with them.

fixing the hose stops the continuous problems of pulling them, but to be honest the old fixed jets worked 100% of the time for us, and the new ones that cost extra dont work 100% of the time.

we have to replace them intermittently and its a hassle and a cost that wasn't there before.

i think they offer an advantage to gardiners so they can mass produce the brushes and get people to pay for the added part

they don't offer an advantage to myself

i am sticking wth gardeners as i find them the most reliable and best overall. but i dont like these capsules

I think that's the crux of it. I'm not overly happy the their brushes over the last few years. My favourite brush was a dual trim super lite  medium mixed. These days that same brush is more like an extreme.

It's not about technology it's about the bottom line. Brass jets last, plastic ones don't.

Only need to last the life of the brush which is roughly 2/3 months. Then I keep the capsules as spares when the brush is chucked.

I have to agree about the quality of the brushes, they dont seem to last like they used to.

i prefer the old ones. I  never change the jets so the only benefit to the capsule is they are easy to replace when they fall apart...not really a benefit when the old ones didnt fall apart
