« on: February 02, 2021, 03:32:49 pm »
Anyone else using these and whats your experience with them?

They seem to fall apart quite easily so far as Im concerned. I've had two fail on me today, anyone else similar experience?

They need to used with the close coupled jet assembly, I’ve had no problems with them used alongside it.

Bit annoying to have to have 2 more specialised fittings on the brush, but makes for a tidy set up.

That'll be totally useless if you use a swivel.

Also why isn't this explained when you purchase a brush and are given the option to use Jet capsules?

Hi Slacky

Generally they have proved to be reliable and robust for the majority of clients - we have about 50,000 sets in use currently with window cleaners.

Are you using a  Univalve? If so you need to make sure that you have a protection clip fitted to the gooseneck hose, with enough spare hose pulled through as otherwise the pulling action of the Univalve will, with time, break the jet capsules.

If not using a Univalve then it could be that the jet hose has been getting caught in use and pulled or perhaps the extra strain from a swivel assembly - this can sometimes pull apart the jet capsules in a few cases.

If this is happening then the close-coupled jet assembly can be useful, although not essential. You can just buy the end stem elbows rather than the whole 'assembly' and use your current T connector and jet hose.

If you are using a  swivel then the close-coupled assembly should still work well as the two are compatible  :)

Used with Univalve, you just need to make the jet hoses longer so get a few metres of that with your close coupling orders

The close coupled assembly actually facilitates better swivel movement and doesn't interfere with the use of a univalve at all if set up correctly. 👍

Hi Alex, I don't use a Univalve.

However I do use a swivel, one of yours. It is when the brush is swivelled that the hose connection fails in the nozzle either starting to leak out of the backend of the nozzle or the hose pulling out of the nozzle. On one occasion the whole nozzle collapsed, including the 'o'-ring disappearing down the gutter somewhere.

Ive got a new brush and two sets on order from you today so will try how P@F has his set up....

Alex if you see this on time can you chuck in one of these https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/2-way-close-coupled-jet-hose-assembly.html in to my order. My email on your system is info@oakleywindowcleaning.co.uk Email me a bill for it and I'll settle that up, if you don't mind..

I find these are great when using the Univalve
Oops, their site is down just now, it’s a hose stay which you place outside the gooseneck instead of an O ring.

Hi Slacky

I have put your order on 'hold' and will get one of the Team to add this to to your order tomorrow morning for you  :)

Just to clarify do you want a 4-way assembly for the new 4 jet brush you have ordered or a 2-way assembly for your previous two jet brush?

I also have jet capsules Alex and find the left pipe keeps coming out of the back of the jet. I use Univalve with o ring to stop the pole hose pulling too far is there a way to hold the pipe and robber seal in place?
Cheers Rich

I think the close coupled is definitely the answer. We haven't had a problem with the jets since switching.

4 way please Alex, can you chuck in two of them and also a metre of appropriate sized hose (if you stock it please).

Thanks Alex.

Matt

The key is to having enough spare hose above the clip and ensuring that the clip does not slide over time.

If a jet capsule has already been pulled apart by the pulling action to actuate a univalve then generally it will only go back together temporarily - the solution is to replace the jet.

We do have a new design Angle Adapter soon to be released in the standard size (already available in the longer size) that completely isolates any pulling of the pole hose or a Univalve from the brush head components - https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/quick-loq-angle-adapter-type-1-long-top-arm-gooseneck.html

Sure  :)

Each assembly comes with enough jet hose already to be cut down to size - did you want another 1m of jet hose on top of this?
