Jk999 is not doing what he wants though....unless staying in all the time(apart from working)is the norm for him.

Apart from working and taking the dog for a walk I go food shopping once a week, check up on my mum twice a week.....the rest of the time I'm staying in like everybody else...most customers pay online or card,I dont go inside customers houses but I will accept the odd cup of coffee....
I prefer normal coffee.

So you lead a new normal life? :D

Public freedom is my priority, not public health.

These lockdowns are insane. The fact we are so easily excepting them is beyond me.

If people want to isolate, go ahead, but those that want an open, free country should have that right.

And don’t go saying ‘your a Covid denier’ because I’m not. My wife is a manger at our local nhs hospital. I know how bad it is, I also know how skewed the death figures are.

There will be a disastrous ‘new world order’ following this. It’s very concerning seeing what the rich boys at Davos are chatting about. They are using this Covid hysteria to usher in more control.

We cannot keep locking down every time there is a spike. It is literally insane. We have to learn to live with it.

Lockdowns cause so much excess death, mental health issues, job losses, stress, missed education, obscene economic debt,  social issues and more. They are not the answer, we have to learn to live with it.

What are we going to do, lockdown everytime there is a need strain? It’s mental.

Thems my sentiments, and the same for many people I know.

If you love life, you love freedom, not control.

That’s right, let’s all run around freely and increase the likelihood of swamping an already overstretched NHS. All these professors, doctors, nurses, patients, people who have lost loved ones etc, etc, must be really good actors. I suspect we will see them in the next series of Casualty.

i agree...its not our fault the NHS cant cope!......and just because it cant the government shuts down our economy?its cant be right....many many more people will die/suffer from keeping our economy shut down for prolonged periods than covid deaths(suicides, businesses ruined, etc.)

what they should do is build make shift hospitals and get the army medical teams and volunteers to help out.....

of course i do agree we should keep wearing masks, social distancing where we can and keep sanitizing/washing our hands but lockdown is madness esp if it goes on for many months.....

Yes mate, we can have measures in place and open things up.

This is the problem with the NHS, understaffed and too few hospitals.

Death is a reality, you cannot shut the economy over it. They should be using the nightingale hospitals, yet they tore the London one down! £100 million wasted!

The average age of Covid death is nearly 83.

Isolate the old and vulnerable (if they want to)

The rest should be free.

And you’re right Daz, it isn’t out fault the NHS can’t cope.

They haven’t got the staff to put in the nightingale hospitals that’s the problem , so they are a waist of time and money .
A lot of the deaths could be reduced quite dramatically if people used a bit of common sense rather than demand there rights , lockdown is just a way to try and keep people apart  beacause they cannot use common sense , look at that wedding party in London yesterday with 400 people there total madness and they should all be fined and named and shamed in there community as far as Ime concerned.

Forget the hospitals they should be building make shift prisons to put each  and every 1 of that 400 in,I go to work because I’m out in the open not near anyone but groups of people gathering together is selfish and stupid.

How do we live with it without enough people vaccinated?
Lockdowns work, the stats prove that. I don't know of another alternative without mass vaccination.
How do we learn to live with it? Can you give me some examples?

What if the vaccines dont work on the new strains from Africa and Brazil?

What then?continuous lockdown for a year?2 years?

Imagine if we hadn't developed a vaccine.....what then?

Then we would have to put up with hospitals full of Covid patients and not being able to get treated for life threatening conditions such as cancer, and a wide variety of debilitating health issues.
