To be honest I don't know its been wracking my brain all weekend, in all honesty I don't always trust those test results I still think it's a really bad chest infection which I have suffered on and off for years ,it doesn't help at 52 and working in all weather ,🙂👍

Public freedom is my priority, not public health.

These lockdowns are insane. The fact we are so easily excepting them is beyond me.

If people want to isolate, go ahead, but those that want an open, free country should have that right.

And don’t go saying ‘your a Covid denier’ because I’m not. My wife is a manger at our local nhs hospital. I know how bad it is, I also know how skewed the death figures are.

There will be a disastrous ‘new world order’ following this. It’s very concerning seeing what the rich boys at Davos are chatting about. They are using this Covid hysteria to usher in more control.

We cannot keep locking down every time there is a spike. It is literally insane. We have to learn to live with it.

Lockdowns cause so much excess death, mental health issues, job losses, stress, missed education, obscene economic debt,  social issues and more. They are not the answer, we have to learn to live with it.

What are we going to do, lockdown everytime there is a need strain? It’s mental.

Thems my sentiments, and the same for many people I know.

If you love life, you love freedom, not control.

Can there be Public freedom without public health?

If people feel afraid of dying and would like it to be safe for them to move around freely, then they are not free if end lockdown

What you could be saying there is 'I believe in my public freedom'

If we got rid off speed limits, you could think it would make people more free, but not really, it would result in less freedom for those who want to feel safer the roads, but more freedom for people who like to speed.
There's a balance to be struck, that's how society works

Of course there can be public freedom without public health, that’s how it’s been for ever.

This is a new way of managing pandemics, we’ve never had lockdowns like this before.

I don’t believe even if we had the staff and doubled the icu bed capacity we’d be out of lockdown. I think this over reaction and new obsession with death has created a mass hysteria which has induced lockdowns.

We need more hospitals, more staff, to cope with this and future pandemics to keep the country open.

That said, it should still be the right of every citizen to choose whether they isolate or not. Being under house arrest is wrong.

Covid is dangerous, yes, but it’s also almost non existent in young people and not a concern for people under 60 by in large.

We should put the money into the health service rather than furlough etc. All we are doing is destroying the economy, destroying mental health, destroying education, destroying businesses, destroying social lives, the list goes on.

We have to except thah death happens. People die, it’s very sad, but we cannot keep running the whole country because of an endemic virus.

The danger is this ‘new normal’ isn’t going away fast, and the amazing thing is, people have actually bought into it and actaully think the government control is good. That’s insane.

Freedom over Health. And again, I have a wife who is a manager at the Colchester general hospital, so that absolutely makes me entitled to this opinion. Especially as I know exactly how bad things are.

With all respect, it’s not even really a ‘pandemic’ it’s only a pandemic because our health system is too small to cope.

Pandemics are the Black Death, Spanish flu etc.

Not 100,000 deaths over almost a year, with an average age of death at nearly 84 which is higher than the average life expectancy.  And I really can’t brothered to explain how the figures are skewed again. But in a nutshell, most of those 100,000 people were at the very, and I mean VERY, end of their life, and died with ‘Covid in the system at time of death’.

This is the issue, people have been sacred into a frenzy over Covid. It’s bad, yes. But it isn’t as bad as people think.

Again, I know this having a wife that works on the front line.

The issue at hand, is, is it worth the total destruction of the country. In my opinion, and a growing number of people’s opinion, No.

The cure (lockdowns) is worse than the disease.

Your facts about the average age of deaths is not correct neither is ones under 60 not being affected , if your wife is in the position you say she is I think she would put you straight on that , one of my daughters is a paramedic and the are constantly dealing with ones that are 16-50 that are severely affected by covid and there have been many  deaths in this age range , I agree that every week in this country around 10-12 thousand people die that’s without covid ,   And the covid death rate is relatively small compared to how many get infected but this is a world wide issue that won’t go away any time soon ,it is highly contagious, and killed otherwise healthy  people without any underlying health problems , I dont like lockdowns  but it dies help stop the spread if ones abide by the rules unfortunately it’s the only solution at this time .

It’s only 100,000 dead and not 500,000 because of lockdown.

Those under 60s who are unaffected by it, does that include the 40% of 50-60 year olds with underlying health conditions?

This virus is highly contagious, human transmittable and it can be spread asymptomatically. You can have a hospital on every street corner but that isn't going to stop it spreading and people dying from it.

There’s management and there’s management.

Someone manages the car-park at our local hospital.

so we should kill the economy. Ruin peoples businesses , send mums and dads over the edge trying to home school there kids and locking em in there bedrooms, while trying to earn a wage .

Where did I say that we should kill the economy? Has the economy been killed then?
What do you think would happen to the economy if we didn't lockdown and the NHS collapsed? Do ill people, bereaved people, people looking after sick relatives etc just turn up for work?

My neighbour, who was 55, died from it three weeks ago.
