two man system

Hi Guys,
Im looking to turn my one man van system into a two man van system. what is best way to do this?
I know i need the obvious, extra pole, hose and reel etc... but what about the following:
- I use a sureflow pump - will it be powerful enough for two people at once? If so how best to split the water off to supply both? or is it best to have two pumps?
- Battery (Leisure battery) will one battery usually do the job for two people all day?
- Water tank 500 litres, i guess that would work ok? as not really wanting a bigger tank if possible.
Any other tips or advice much appreciated.
Thanks in advance guys,
Steve

1 pump for 2 people wont work as if one shuts off pole then other gets all flow etc....
Tee of the feed from tank to first pump then add second strainer and pump. Add controller for second pump. Feed second pump to second reel and pole.
As for tank size, do you have half a tank left at end of your day? If so you should be fine.
Your battery should be fine but make sure it's fully charged each night as extra pump will draw more AH from battery. If you have split charge and drive a good few miles you should be ok but if only local and lots of stop start then need to mains charge each night.

you will need a second controller
500 litres is a big tight for 2 men - but depends on your day and type of work...
2 men teams don't do 2x the work of a single - if this is long term look at a second van

2 pumps and 2 controllers. 1 battery
should be fine just charge everday.

What is the payload of your van? 500 litres of water won’t be enough for 2 men working a full day.

I've been running two man squads since 2006.
500l tank is tight but do able. Smallest we have is 425 which needs topped up, usually.
One battery is fine, split charge preferably.
One pump (100psi) and controller is fine (split before reels), you do get increased pressure when one unplugs but it's not really a problem.

One pump and controller will easily run two reels, put a T piece between the reels with even lengths of hose.
Just increase the flow

If you are a husband and wife team doing no more than 6 hours a day on domestic work then a 650 is comfy.
Serious all day work and/or commercial then at least 800L
500L not enough except for occasional and topping up at lunch time.

One pump and controller per pole always works best , dividing the flow from one pump will work but it always favours the lowest pole , for what it will cost for a pump ,controller and a bit of hose and wire I would have two independent pumps .

Thanks for all the replies guys, some good advice there all round, very much appreciated.
I think it may be a second van, as i have plenty of work and so it would be a long term move, freeing me up also to concentrate on other work ie gutters, driveways etc.
I think one van will tie me down a bit and not be as profitable, certainly in the long run anyway.
Thanks again guys
