I never drink alcohol while on duty.  Mostly through choice, but I've got the added extra discipline of working with my 'Long-haired Sergeant Major', whose tee-total; just about.

Only water for me!

its like collecting as well in hot weather chap the door nobody in  smell wafts round corner  there out back stick your head round for your money and you get come in do u want a sausage our a burger, funny how the weater efects them ,i usualy refuse becase i want back for my own bbq
funny its the same in the cold winter nights when you chap the door and the waft off home made soup comes out the front door  it makes you starvin
thats when you could realy be doing with a hot soup and a roll
funny how that is  that you never get an offer in winter
mind you have one old dear knits me a pair off socks every year  dont have the heart to tell her dont bother
the staff kill them selfs laughing  at my supper socks  over the knee numbers lol
you get your laughs though dont ya come rain :'( summer ;D our shine 8)    so now in summer im a burger munchin allky and in winter a starvin ethiopian wi warm socks  need to get a stereo type for the rain and wind any sugestions  the funnier the better

If any of my guy's accepted an alcoholic drink on the job I would sack them.

Not being a stick in the mud but the following issues worry me:

1) Drink Driving!
2) Accident at work smelling of Alcohol (Insurance won't like that)
3) If a new customer stops you and asks for you to clean her windows and you smell of beer, well, not the best image to portray.
4) Is it professional?
5) Dehydration in the hot weather? Water is better for you

Don't get me wrong, I like a drink, but there is a time and a place. I.e after work or at weekends.

Best wishes,

What I don't understand is why my customers still offer me a steaming hot cup of tea when the sun is blazing!!!!!! They always look at me as if Im mad when I ask for a pint of cold water instead!
