Hi Crystal,

I've been to Ionics recently and was shocked at there pricing for wfp systems.
I've been in contact with Andrew McCann over the last few days and he's going to sort me out with a system for a reasonable price. Also he expains everything in great depth so for a newbie to wfp like me this is very helpful.

If i get mine in place while you'll still looking i shall let you know how i get on with it.

Regards,
Sunshine

I got mine from Andrew lots of good advice and good price, but be warned you will have problems with a self fit system, i had to remove my fuel tank to fit the water tank in my van, now haveing problems with a leaky ro, but haveing said that you will save a wad but be prepared for minor hicups.

Hiya Drew

Sorry to hear your having probs with a leaky RO. Have you tried to contact us about this?

Some vans are easier than others to fit. Luck of the draw really I suppose.

As I,ve said before because the site sponsors do very good van-mounted systems I dont say much about ours here but we have supplied many due to customer demand and in the vast majority of cases the customer has no problems or if they do they are minor and get sorted very quickly.

Cheers

Andrew

Hi Andrew, just to let you know got RO running now, managed to scrounge some fittings from the company i used to work for, much better quality than that supplied by RO-MAN.
Water production seems good getting about 1:1 ratio, water pressure 55psi, had about 25 ltrs of good in 1 hour, does that seem ok.

Hi Drew

Glad you got sorted out.  I would have done it for you though mate.

Waste to pure is good. Your pressure is slightly low though acceptable. Mine is just over 50 PSI and I dont bother with a booster. The membranes sometimes take up to 48 hrs to get to peak efficiency so you may find that your production increases. As it is you will get around 600 ltrs per 24 hrs. If you fitted a booster pump to up the pressure you are likely to get around 900 ltrs. I would wait and see how it goes myself.

Cheers

Andrew

Hiya Steve

Yes you are right.

We are going to revamp the site considerably in the near future. Having said this it does say to contact us so that we can discuss requirements. It's my experience that customers requirments can vary considerably. The way we work is to identify the best posssible package taking into account budget etc then offer the customer a "package deal" to suit. EG somone may be ok with fibreglass poles at say 35 ft where others may want very lightweight carbon fibre. Some may be OK with an RO-Man set up where others may want a Twin 40 x 4 on demand set-up.  A discussion over the phone gives both us and the customer a realistic picture of needs etc.

Crystal clear,

I know you've emailed me with questions regarding my gardiners system. I have cleaned my 1st windows with it today (mine & my mother-in-laws. Have to say I'm extremely impressed considering I have not done it before, windows came up great.

Gardiners supplied everything to me except my 1000 litre IBC tank, (Kirsty advised me I could pick up a 2nd hand one locally a lot cheaper) my 110 AH battery & charger & the straps to fix tank in van.

All told I have spent around £1070 to set it all up & a couple of days off work. I maybe new to all this but I can't see what else I would get for more money.
