give them 1 more chance but try to pick a better day when they can't use the weather as an excuse, if they cancel then knock them on the head

Put the price up, that’ll teach ‘em.

If I was them without the mindset and point of view of a self employed window cleaner ( which lets face it why should they ? ) I'd turn you away too. I wouldn't want to pay £125 a month for an hour and a halfs work if you were going to do it in the rain either. Bit different to a £15/20 regular job on a wet day. Or are all your jobs £125 ones ? I'd try having a bit of understanding unless your minted enough to throw a job like that away if that's their only real and genuine reason.

I would just keep it for nice days at that money !
I only tend to do up to £20 jobs in the wet or commercial
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

Exactly this. It’s a premium customer, offer them a premium service. There’s enough dry days in a month to slightly alter your schedule to accommodate them.

I’d bin.
Why does the price of the job matter, either you can clean in the rain or you can’t?

I think this one is really simple.

Dont do it when its raining!

If its due on the weds but thurs is dry then just swap the days work round.

Im not going to change my round about for a £10 house but there are exceptions to every rule and a £80ph job is one of them.

As said above its a premium price so give a premium service unless your round is full of these and its just another job to you, in which case bin them at will.

I'd try and slow down a bit. They probably don't like the fact that you're earning £625 a day.

Unless this thread is bull poop?
We look at them, they look through them.

I’d bin.

Because for most ,  £125 for 1 1/2 hours work ain't to be sniffed at and it's monthly. If they're otherwise good customers why wouldn't you want to retain them if their only issue is you doing them in the rain ? As already said, a premium price for a premium service. The customer is paying £1500 a year so probably feels the same way too.
I'd bin off a £20 job but not that one, especially in current times.

I’d bin too.
How long b4 it looks like rain cancellations?
Appreciate it’s a good account financial for you but only when it suits them
I’ve binned and lost well paying accounts through the years and I’m often surprised but what comes in after
If it messes with your head, bin
If you don’t mind then keep
Merry Christmas

This is a difficult one we have dumped jobs considerably dearer than that , when taking on customers regardless of price I explaine we clean in all weathers within reason 12 months a year , we will how ever try and accommodate the customer by doing it on a dry day the week it’s due if we can but if not it’s done in the rain if that doesn’t suite then by by 😎😎 . Depending what the job is £125 for an hour and a half’s work isn’t good money if it’s commercial  , if domestic then it’s ok .

of course its good money......it is to us northern window cleaners anyway......... :)

personally id have a word with them and say "if your not happy with the clean then dont pay me".......if it carried on and they kept turning me away of course i would let it go...even at £125 a pop......as long as your not turning up in torrential rain with gale force winds then they need to relent or lose me...they are being unreasonable IMO........there will be no difference in the clean if its light/medium rain......
price higher/work harder!

I don't think I'd turn up to a £125 job untexted. It's too much of a chunk to leave to chance.

£125 for an hour and a half’s commercial work is very poor we work on a minimum of £100 per hour per man and don’t have any difficulty achieving that , domestic £125 for the  same time is ok .

You can clean a lot of windows in 90 minutes in a lot of cases if not most more than 125 quids worth.

So £25 extra then, does that just make your rate poor and not very poor then.

Personally, I'd bin it.

If they've let you down twice then it's not £125 per month and it's not an hour and a half work.

Technically, it's sod all!
