Great new sleeve
« on: December 14, 2020, 03:42:21 pm »
Got one of these a month ago, it is fantastic:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Applicator-Detachable-Removable-Scrubbing-Professional/dp/B08LMLKXFS/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=window+cleaning+sleeve&qid=1607960432&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyUkRORVpGWDhWOTYxJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTMwODA5NzQzQVgyWjc1MFBWJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAxMjg2NzczMTFBRzdFVjZESUFEJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

same quality as the unger monsoon, only cheaper and with a removable scourer, so now when my scourers are ruined, usually after a month or so, I don't have to replace the whole sleeve I can just buy another scourer. great idea *****

The best sleeves I’ve ever used are either the old style or original moreman or the plain green Unger Microfiber sleeve,they both hold loads of water with no dripping if you slightly squeeze the ends just before use.
All these other sleeves porcupine blah blah blah are a waste of money imo,they drip water everywhere indoors and don’t hold hardly any water outdoors,when I tried those types I was forever in the bucket 🪣 dipping for water.

I used to buy 5-10 sleeves at a time years ago and alternated them,same as brushes they last a lot longer and it never feels like you are cleaning with a worn out toothbrush.

Because you aren’t killing em day after day with brushes I have certain brushes for certain types of windows,if I use a certain brush on just PVC windows it’ll last ages and the edges don’t go like Shreks toothbrush.
Lead light windows that are flush and have no recessed edges you can clean with almost any square brush even if the edges are on the way out,with the sleeves I used to change them often for years they always felt like new and as for the porcupine ettorre they hold as much water as a thimble I tried it once on a shop took it straight off and binned it on the high street on the way to the next shop front,I’ve tried em all I haven’t been able to get a better sleeve than one different to a Microfiber one.

Yeah me too Daz I won’t buy many more lol,yeah the monsoon with a green stripe they are toilet too you won’t find a sleeve that wears quicker especially on the ends if you dip one of them and flick it out there’s nothing left on it lol,I used to use them indoors years and years ago nothing better than leaving a water trail so you know where you’ve been.

We just keep a couple of new brushes in stock & change them every 2 or 3 months or as & when needed. I do love a new brush. It’s like having a new toothbrush. :)
