« on: December 03, 2020, 11:55:46 am »
Result in you losing all enthusiasm to carry on cleaning windows?

I was flying along this morning in the rain, soaking wet but cracking on.

Now ive just stopped, had somert to eat, got all dry and warm and i really cba moving.

No doubt i will do a few more then knock off early.

My kid's school works on the same principle:

Lunch is 1:30-2:30 and they go home at 3:30.

Seems to work well.

I never properly stop for lunch I’ll do 1-2 jobs stop quick for a quick tea-coffee and do that throughout the day  i normally eat when I get home,I used to know a bloke who stopped religiously for an hour everyday that would completely spoil my rhythm and make me feel more tired.

i can honestly say this never happens to me......30 mins for lunch in the warm and dry with a hot drink has me raring to go for the afternoons work.....

what did you have to eat?are you getting enough quality sleep?

I stop for just the time it takes to eat then crack on, but I have to eat lunch or I get very grumpy.  ;D
A manager is generally someone who has been promoted to the position by someone else who didn't see them as a threat.
Hence all people are promoted to the level of their incompetence

After you eat your body uses energy to digest your food so your energy levels for work will drop.

There are health benefits to intermittent fasting, or eating just one meal a day. Personally I have not gone that far myself, but try to do as much work before stopping for lunch, or if a short day just having a late lunch when I get home.

You need to eat more healthy foods or get fitter.
The reason you feel tired after a meal is...it's your bodies way of digesting the food.
It actually takes a lot of energy to digest food, so your body will partly shut down, so that it can use your energy more efficiently to digest your food.
If you eat more healthy foods, your body doesn't need so much energy to digest it, so you feel better.
If you are really fit, you have the energy to digest your own food without feeling tired.
Scenario:
Remember your parents had a big Sunday dinner, or Christmas feast, then fell asleep in front of the telly in the afternoon.
....That's why.

That’s meat that does that to you I remember watching something about it your body produces a chemical after you eat a large meal with meat especially red meat,I think that’s why maybe you’ll be falling asleep after your roast dinner.

this is what works for me to keep me motivated in winter....

1......a 5 or 6 hour working day
2....... a few waterproof jackets in the van so i can swap for a dry one after lunch
3........hot water(of course)results in soft, warm, manageable hose and an easier day overall
4.......heated driver seat...yes a luxury but its nice on a cold, wet, day like today!
5........a decent packed lunch and flask of tea
6........bluetooth headphones for listening to audiobooks, podcasts, music, etc
7......waterproof footwear and  trousers..(nothing worse than wet legs and feet while at work!)
8.....plenty of nitrile gloves in the van(i swap for a fresh pair after lunch)

back in them days my diet was poor,i smoked, drank a lot of alcohol and probably been up most of the night shagging some bird and living a life of sheer debauchery........ ;D
