Mine doesn’t ever go into half heat mode I walk back to van with the flow still going m8 I never dead end the pole, when I get to the back of the van I lower the flow to 25 and plug straight in it doesn’t get chance to go into half heat mode.
This is the trouble I used to have with my old heater at times I’d just 0 the controller and it would just idle and have to power up again but I didn’t always do this, they are supposed to on and working to perform well and stop them getting coked up like yours m8 3 years is nothing for a burner if the unit is used right.

Had my 2 man heater from them for just over 2 years now not so much as a puff of white smoke yet,as for you saying you won’t now buy 1 Tristan is a mistake imo they are well worth the small investment they require to have piping hot water a the flick of a switch m8,if you want to sod about with an heating element that’s your choice but don’t believe the hype we all have niggles with things on the whole they are very very reliable.

You could always use cold water I tell you something you can’t beat using industrial wire for hose this time of year lol,I love the way the hose slaps onto the reel when it’s cold I much prefer that to a smoking hose reel that’s super soft 👍.

Your heater is on off on off the way you are using it no wonder the inside has a build up of crap.

Could the guy at the boat yard have fitted a 24v glow pin instead of a 12v one?and that's why the fault code has come up?it seems odd that a brand new webasto part is faulty....

Yeah they are an absolute pain you flick a switch and you have piping hot water,I wouldn’t bother I’d rather reel in iron cable on these kind of mornings eh.

Never bothers me, the whole ‘wire’ hose thing.

I’ve used hot, found it a faff, these diesel heaters seem to be a faff as well.

I’m happy with cold, never got more work done with hot anyway. It’s just a luxury that adds costs.

No doubt hot is better in some instances, but for me, I can’t be bothered with the faff/extra cost.

Especially as I use a wfp link to turn the water on and off. I never leave the water running as pure is like Gold round my way, hardest water in the U.K.

you certainly learn a lot reading these diesel "love in" threads

Old Nigel walking about to and from his van with blistering hot water constantly spraying out of his er...   brush  he dare not turn the water off in case it blows the boiler up ....

poor  Daz, you know what they say mate when these things start going wrong you can end up chasing one fault after another - a bit like a rotten car - stop the faff pull it out a bung in a brand new one  !

Hot is just a luxury thing unless you live by coast, I'm not spending thousands for supple hoses for 2 months of the year, then countless nights on keyboard having to convince myself and others I didn't squander said thousands on a luxury gimmick not really needed

I'm on the coast - hot makes no difference to the speed or quality of the clean

It does give better working conditions and when using TFR helps it foam up

both of which can easily be achieved for the cost of £100

Gotta admit it, i would like supple hoses.
But i reckon Daz has spent nearly 10 Grand in total over the last few years, apart from anything else my missus would kill me  >:( :o
