Complete Access Platform in liquidation
« on: November 19, 2020, 01:43:07 pm »
Anyone else on here owed money by this bunch of toe-rags?

Went broke 3 years ago owing me and others a fair bit of money. Have had a letter today, the process is almost complete and they 'might' be paying out once they sells it's assets.

I strongly suspect they had none worth anything, so it's probably not worth filling in all the forms.
It owed the bank £222k and there are £360k worth of other creditors so unless they owned their offices I doubt there'll be a bean left after the liquidators are paid their £60k.

Hey-ho life goes on. they owed me £3,500 which was two and a bit months of the work I did for them.

They were only a week late paying when I started chasing and I'm so glad I put them on hold then or I'd have lost even more.
A manager is generally someone who has been promoted to the position by someone else who didn't see them as a threat.
Hence all people are promoted to the level of their incompetence

They owed me £8.5k. Have long since written that off now. Was a bit of a blow at the time but life goes on. I’d be very surprised if there’s anything left after the liquidators are paid tbh.

That’s not good , really annoying when firms have work done knowing they cannot pay the bill , we keep a very strict watch on all commercial work I don’t let what they owe build up if no payment is revived then the next clean doesn’t go ahead until they pay , this should prevent large sums being owed , on any large cost single jobs I split the price into three parts they pay a third before we start , third when half way through and a third when finished  doing it this way we have not had any problems,

This was regular shop work that had been going on for a few years.
As I say they were only a week late (which isn't long for commercial work) so if you're on 30 days terms that means they hadn't paid for two months and a bit of work.

With respect, if you think it couldn't happen to you, you are mistaken.

Fortunately I'd learn not to rely on big contracts and had subbed a lot of it out and just took a small margin.
I paid the subbies as otherwise I felt I'd be as bad as the people who went broke, the risk of not getting paid should be mine.

Ouch.
I emailed one of the people who used to work at CAPS at their new workplace, and they have been good enough to reply.
As I suspected the offices were rented so after HMRC, the banks and the liquidators there won't be any money left as you say.

Just thought I'd check before I did any more form filling.

Like you I'd put it out of my mind and moved on.

They were always a good company to sub from in my experience. Don’t know what happened at the end but I suspect there was a major cash grab of the assets  when the 2 directors went their separate ways.

Anyway, live and learn, it taught me a few lessons in tightening up my t+c’s with commercial work but like you say, it was only 2 months regular work with a fair sized one off in there too so very difficult to avoid it when payment terms are 30 days from month end.

Have also just got the letter through the post aswell.
