any idea's on this problem

i went to see a local window cleaner today who was having probs with his RO

its a 200 gpd RO

tap TDS is roughly 400

coming out of the RO is 45

this is way high compared to mine which is only a 50 GPD RO but i get 005 out of mine

any idea's

Maybe refit all the joints and connections in the right order, otherwise maybe the RO cartridge is duff.

what was the pressure going in , if its low ... 40 psi it may need booster to improve it mine goes in at 100 psi and i have the same readings as your chap

joints all look in the right order and the RO was ok

i should have added its about 9 months old

its got me stumped

his pressure is about 40, but he says it was fine for 6 - 7 months

it doesnt add up

surely the RO isnt dead after 9 months

Does he flush regular, also Kirsty from Gardeners said to me about changing filters every 4-6 months, if i remember right the 3 were only about £20. May be his filters need changing.

change the filters!!  The prefilter needs changed once a month and the carbon block every 2 months or before, the membranes could b damaged now if chlorine has got into the membranes

If it's a reading from one of those 'orrible cheap in-line tds meters it might be worth checking against another meter.

he has a inline meter, but i checked it with mu handheld meter

So how come they're a lot more expensive than handhelds?

my inline reader always reads between 001-002 where as my handheld reads 000.
