Cleaning inside high windows?
« on: November 15, 2020, 10:58:19 am »
I went to quote a purpose built house for a customer of mine that has MND. There is one window though which is around 20ft high and V shaped which I would like some advise on best and safest way to clean. I've looked at the Vikan and Stingray but wondered if I could use any of those with one of my poles to save buying the whole kit?

Not sure this will help you, depends on how dirty the glass is.

I recently bought the trad tool adapter for doing inside high level work, worked a treat and cost me £10.

We've used one of these for years

The problem with the one we have used for years is the fact that its friction based. I will order one of the new tool adaptors with my next Gardiner order.

Lots of modern house you have to take the ladder in and blade them, you don’t want to be using a pad that gets dirty after a couple of passes.

You can buy just the pad holder and pads - - I think the Vikan head even fits into section one of an slx pole

Under do a nice deep pile pad that will take off the majority of the crud then use another pad with white vinegar to finish

If it's a regular clean - no longer than 12 week intervals then after the initial clean one pad with wv should be enough

I bought the vikan thingy a few years ago for doing internal high windows, worked great. Just goes on the end of a wfp.

It's not about the money mate...I earn enough cleaning outside work....I just dont like going in customers houses to clean inside windows and having to book in cleans...

Same for gutter clearing....I always hated that work too so dont offer it as a service anymore either....

This way my working days are virtually hassle free and short....just the way I like them.....its got nothing to do with money at all.....😎👍

Regular inside cleans are easy money I only clean big houses inside, you can clean 1 house inside and out and get the same as you’d get for another 2-3 houses m8.
I can do 2 in and outs down a lane in the sticks and earn more than a days money.

Sorry m8
I should have said I have a struggling business trying to make ends meet and I only clean tin pot terrace 1 up 2 downs and only earn enough to put fuel in the van, that would be an easy way to make a few friends what do you reckon.
