Gardiner ultimate vs xtreme 47ft.
« on: November 14, 2020, 01:14:42 pm »
Anyone got the ultimate 63?

How does it compare with the xtreme 47? (which I add two extensions to for a certain block of flats)

Pondering whether the ultimate is worth the extra...

The ultimate is a far superior pole totally different league , it is heavier but so mush stiffer and better in the wind , sold my extream 47 with extensions

Cheers mate, if I’m honest, the weight has been putting me off... wasn’t sure if I’d notice the weight in terms of shoulder/bicep fatigue...

We have one 8 storey hotel that we do  and I use it for 3:5 hours solid , Ime glad when lunch time comes 😂😂 , but it’s easier to use than an  extream  as it’s stiffer/ less flex in the pole and it’s less affected by wind due to the extra weight , it’s not hugely heavier but you do  notice the difference,  don’t know where you are but you are welcome to try mine if not to far away

Essex mate. Do a 7 story building in Chelmsford and 5 story in Ipswich. Thought the ultimate might be a better option, especially as I do the Ipswich one every month.

Ok Ime in Cornwall so a long way apart,  Ime  sure you  wouldn’t be disappointed with it  it’s a very high quality pole

If you regularly worked at 50ft but no higher would you buy the extreme 47 or the ultimate? I find that the light weight and price is the deciding factor for me. I can cope with the odd windy day. But to lug a heavier pole about day in day out takes its toll.

We use the ultimate for everything 40 feet and above I wouldn’t use anything else now . We do a lot of work 4-8 storey , it’s like all things you get used to using it and it’s not  that much heavier and as far as Ime concerned the benefits outweigh  the negatives , it’s also a lot better built pole than the extream and  doesn’t ware anything like as fast either , no idear why but that’s what we have found .

If you can afford it and do much work at that height  you won’t be disappointed 👍

Ultimate is a quality bit of kit, used both and IMO at height over 50ft  you want a bit of weight on the glass...
