With the demand increasing we were going to relaunch our courses earlier this year but then COVID came along. There is a train of thought that courses can be run online and I am constantly being asked by the likes of Faber, LTP , Hypergrinder and Fila to look at online training. However, having trained 300+ people in Hard Floor Cleaning , Restoration , Grinding and Polishing we find it difficult to accept that effective training carried out on line will work, as our belief is that delegates often need close up tuition and hands on practice. After all, how do you teach people to balance a rotary machine, or feel honing powder cutting through the machine when doing twin approach cleaning? It is our opinion that one on one, or one to a small group education is key to this and any other industry like it. Most people realise that any course like this only teaches and shows the basics and imparts a certain amount of knowledge in the little time allowed. The real learning comes in the experience gained on the job and our after course telephone helpline. Experience is the real learning and this can’t be taught by any establishment regardless of what is taught. The latest Government news on COVID looks promising and if it works out we will make every effort to start Hard Floor Courses again in the spring. If they are still struggling with a cure for this dreadful virus we will have another look at the online approach.
