Vacuum motor supplier?
« on: November 12, 2020, 01:49:34 pm »
Good afternoon fellow cleaners,

The time as come for some regular maintenance on one of my airflex machines.

The original 3 stage 5.7" vacuum was 1200w, but going to replace with a 1400w which is a recommended upgrade from Cleansmart.

I know there's lots of fakes on the market, so I ask who do you recommend?

The model I'm looking for is 117123 I know they do two versions, -00 and -13. Also what if it comes supplied with a flange fitted? Do you just hacksaw these off?

Thank you all. Stay safe!

117123-00 has no air seal and is for dry vacuum systems only.
the 117123-13 has no hako tube on it, the model with hako tube
is 117123-29.
i have now started using Electro motors instead.

So 117123-00 without the air seal isn't suitable for carpet cleaning machines?

How are you finding the Electro motors?

The only truly noticeable difference is they sound slightly different.
I currently have 1 117123-13 and one 1500w electro in series, without
an anemometer or vacuum gauge i couldn't say if there is a difference. Perhaps
when the Lamb motor gives up the ghost i shall know as it will put my spare
Electro 1500w in.

And can 117123-00 be used in my airflex? Or do I need the model with the seal?

The motors are identical, ideally you should fit the ones
with an airseal as they are designed for wet environment.
Many people have unwittingly fitted 00 models, you may
be ok and have no problems, but why take the chance.
fit the airseal ones.
