It's very simple, Jay.
Follow the steps in the email and answer a few questions. You can do it yourself.
Just keep any details of how you've been adversely affected (dates, costs etc.) should they be required.
I thought it would be a lot more complicated to claim but I never thought we'd still be where we are.

Me too , can’t believe how busy us window cleaners are! It’s a shame for the businesses which are actually adversely effected though, like night club owners , DJs, swingers clubs, escorts etc

No. I don't know all the tradespeople in my town.
I know that Jay isn't in my town and I don't know his circumstances. I know that he's after some help with claiming the government grant and I'll gladly help him, if he needs it.

Yes it’s been difficult getting hold of materials due to the high demand. Builders are snowed under  with work . I know a joiner who told me he can’t wait for a day off and doesn’t know when that’s going to be due to so many jobs coming in. A builder I know has just took on 3 lads because he can’t keep up with the work.
People have spare money and they are spending it on their homes as they can’t go out and spend it.

If you can't get materials then the job stops and you can claim the grant.

I can tell you now that as time goes on I am losing more and more as we get further into Covid , I took the first grant with no hesitations , I wasn’t going to take the second  , but have just claimed it now due to quite a few losses in the last few weeks  .
The only good thing is that I am spending all grant money on biz stuff or stuff that will allow me to expand the biz into other areas like my heaters .
There may well not be demand for the heaters in the near future who knows , but all this gear will allow me to go in other directions at least

I know, it's terrible.
There was a good piece in The Independent, the other day, about how little the government is doing for nightlife. Not claiming what you are entitled to isn't going to change that, it seems.

No, if you have a good chunk of commercial then you will probably feel it.

Domestic wise i cant see anyone being affected.

Ive lost about 3 with the covid excuse and picked up about 100.

Loads of work out there still
