Waste water rebate
« on: October 01, 2020, 10:02:46 pm »
Evening guys and gals,

I've noticed a few people say they get a rebate for their waste water when filtering their own pure water at their office/home. How would I go about this with Thames Water? Any info would be much appreciated!

Cheers,
Ryan

Home or industrial unit ?

either case would be to contact the water company

if at home you will need to put in a water meter between the water supply and the ro system ( available off eBay from around 15 quid ) then get the water company to inspect it

if at a commercial premises you need to get the correct tariff - again they will come to inspect and sign off that he water is not going into the sewer system

if your waste water is going into a drain you will not get a rebate - if it goes to water the garden or other then you will qualify

My only water usage is for the ro system so I don't pay ANY sewage charges - only the price of water into the unit so I save 50% on my water bill
