Never had a problem with extremes.

Maybe they are a bit more robust these days ???I had one when they first came out, I may try another...

I changed over to an 18ft Extreme pole about 4 years ago due to a shoulder problem, it has been my everyday pole since,
 its been an absolute life changer,  i occasionally use an SLX25ft for the higher windows, that feels so dam heavy now.

Are you still using it every day Larry?how do you make an everyday xtreme pole last 4 years?

Hi Dazmond,    when i first got the Extreme pole, i had it only weeks, i was cleaning a first floor window, my mobile started
ringing, i left the pole leaning on the  window sill to take the call, a gust of wind blew it on to the ground and snapped
the top section,( Big Big learning curve)  i think it was nearly a 100 quid with postage to replace the section, i don't know how the
hell its lasted 4 years, but I'm very very careful with it, i never leave it leaning against a building, or try closing windows
with it,  after every job i finish, i quickly wipe the pole & pole hose with a damp microfibre cloth to get any crap or grit off before
driving to the next job, how long do your extreme poles last Daz ?

this current one is nearly 12 months old(xtreme 25)and section 2 has splintered a bit in the middle,not too bad but i have to be careful i dont clamp on that bit...ive ordered a replacement section for when it gives up the ghost...im hoping to get 2 years out of this one....i have looked after it a bit more....(flushing out and spraying with PTFE spray regularly)...i always wipe the pole hose as a matter of course.....

i have lots of awkward windows on some parts of my round so the pole gets used and abused ...... fully extended most days.......

Yeah they were years ago nowadays they are stronger never had a problem in years using them day in day out,I wouldn’t use a pole that was heavier than that.

how long does your main xtreme pole last  before buying another?or do you just keep buying replacement sections?....(triggers broom!)

On the van I have a 3 extremes 35-25-22ft the 35 comes out every now and again for high dormers or Velux windows,the 25 is a spare tbh honest never hardly gets used I’ve had a couple of 22s this is the second used it every day for at least 2 years never had to replace a section on all 3 that I carry.

First full day with nano 18ft , it’s made a huge difference it feels strong but really lightweight and xlines new brushes are the best I have used .

I use supermax, extreme and ova8 poles and I much prefer the ergonomic shape of the ova8 along with the rigidity of them out of the three.  Still favour the extreme brushes for height.

Does the ova pole feel a lot heavier even with an extreme brush.

Ova8 45ft pole is slightly heavier than an extreme of the same length but because it has a smaller overall diameter which is more tailored in shape to the hand, it is easier and more comfortable to hold for long periods of time working at height which is the main reason I decided to try one out in the first place.  Holding  the equivalent size pole in a round diameter base section is not as easier to grip strongly if it's reasonably windy.

Extreme pole all the way, I use 18ft extreme and 30ft extreme, day in an out for years now, I changed to the due to injuries and they changed my life for the better I nearly packed it all in things were that bad but changing to Extreme kept me working.
