« on: July 28, 2020, 06:51:14 pm »
i have moved from my area after 14 years i was commuting  in  but i have found a buyer for my round
i got sick of these newbie cleaners set up shop loads of them more than 10   work in 2s then go to the local pub and shout abuse at me when i go past and other cleaners when they see window cleaning  written on the van sign writing  i had  to generate a crime reference no  for intimidation  i have cameras on the van police said anything happens   they will have to deal with them  got evidence  police said there legit  websites etc  then i showed them the footage  and they said its just banter but i said i nothing to do with my business and its abuse  they went silent for a while then said yeh your right anymore  come back and we will call them in and its enough  for cautions  i cant say anymore  because they probably have friends on here  so lets    ( HOPE )  they dont do it to the guy whos took over  because he was behind me in his car  he wasnt going to buy at first but when we went to police station  he changed his mind  and bought his van and the round  he is happy iam happy
iam going to start again    so message to them            on yer bike  ;D

Sounds horrendous. In 20+ years of window cleaning I've never experienced anything like that  :o

a little tip......when you start building up a new round....do your canvassing  in  nicer, more affluent areas...surely you have some nearby?even if it means a 30 min drive every day......

its well worth it (over a period of a few years)........its the single best thing ive ever done in window cleaning...its also much nicer to go to work in the morning working in the leafy suburbs/semi rural locations....
price higher/work harder!

Have you considered?:
1) Driving a van that is not sign written?
and
2) Following one of them home and when he's on his own....filling him in?
