6.i actually work better/more efficiently when working shorter hours
7.better work/life balance for hobbies/family time
8.when i do pick up a one off add on job its easier to fit them in
9.I price new work higher these days to factor in that i only have a short time to make money so my work has to hit certain targets (consistently)or i wont take it on
10.i avoid rush hour traffic the majority of the time which can only be a good thing

I work probably 50  hours a week that includes a Saturday,  i do lots of extra jobs which I enjoy, couldn't just clean windows.

how do you split your 30 hrs out of interest? do you do 5 x 6 hr days? or something  else?

i think if i ever need to go back on tools i will work morning til lunch then clock off

ive never claimed benefits since 1992....and even then it was only for 10 months......lots of people round here have been on benefits for many many years,some have never had a job for 20 years or so.......

ironically its the foreigners who are mainly the workers round here,not the local lads......

4 or 5 days a  week Richard depending on what work is due...my average day  is 6 hours a day(including end of day jobs like purifying water,charging batteries admin,etc)..

NO weekend working
2 weeks off(or thereabouts at xmas) and another 4 weeks off for holidays/time off throughout the year....

I work 9-3 monday to thursday generally, sometimes half a day friday or if its been peeing down like today i had the day off and will work tues to fri instead...or maybe i`ll just work till thursday lol.

But tbh, even thats too much, its boring and tedious and i wish i could work 2 days a week!

Infact ive been getting that fed up of it lately ive been contemplating employing again, maybe its because ive not had my usual couple of weeks abroad by now.  Its been an odd year lots of people have had months off and most of us have just ploughed on without a break.....

sounds good. we'll have to see how this year goes but i'm prepared to have to go back on the tools myself if needs be. no need to at the moment, but we'll see.

Youngest is about to start secondary school which should give me 8:30-4:30.

A few people give foreigners a hard time around here....ive found most of them polite and hard working which is the exact opposite of many of the local residents!
