Canvassing
« on: July 25, 2020, 04:27:14 pm »
Hi guys, I’m planning on starting canvassing tomorrow but as we all know this year has been crazy and now with having to wear masks in shops etc I was just wondering have any others been canvassing yet and how has it gone?
My plan is when knocking to stand few metres back, was thinking of wearing mask but that won’t work with talking really lol I am over thinking it and feel nervous because it’s such strange circumstances.
I already have issues with anxiety which doesn’t help but canvassing needs to be done as my round needs building.
Any advice would be much welcome, cheers.

No mask - knock and step back ( I used to do this as standard ) when they answer politely do your pitch - 15 to 20 seconds and wait for their response

If after a dozen or so you get the vibe people are anti - stop or move to leaflet dropping

Don’t over think it.
Certainly wouldn’t wear a mask just knock and step back.
