pole hose for hot water
« on: July 24, 2020, 07:43:44 pm »
I had a dirty gutter job yesterday, and so being as my tap water is a low tds , I filled my tank from the tap with hot water.
It stayed  warm  all day. hopefully it wont affect the resin too much!
I have to say WOW.... what a difference it made , especialy on the fascia clean .
windows seemed easier also and dried a lot faster.
today I did the same as I had some first cleans .....
however flaming nightmare using the univalve when the pole is extended!!!!!! the hose goes so soft , its hard to use the univalve !

so can you recomend your hot water pole hose of choice please?

Any PU hose will do.....I use the blue exceed on my main pole and some orange stuff for my high level pole....
price higher/work harder!

yes ... its around 75  from the tap and 0 after resin .
I am not  a newbie , I have been 15 years wfp and 29 yrs window cleaner
I do expect the resin to not last as long , but I may just use hot on first cleans and fascias .

The reason i asked was if you test tds from tap with hot its alot higher than cold so chance s are is your resin will get used up alot quicker

I've found this to be a total myth......every time I've checked my tds its 000 no matter whether its hot or cold water

you are correct.
I just tested my water.... cold was 62ppm
hot was 72ppm
TBF thats pretty low  though.     I think it is worth it for the privlege of having warm water in my tank.
i think I will insulate the tank to contain the heat

No it’s true hot water will give a TDS reading then let it cool and it will read 000 , it’s something to do with the speed that hot water moves at someone did  explaine it years ago

I purify my water at the end of my working day and if ive only worked half a day the remaining water is still fairly hot to touch(even with half a tank of cold pure in it!)...i always test my tds straight after fill up without fail every day and its still 000......in fact ive never had a different reading hot or cold when using dionised water......

James try using hot water at 60+ degrees and see what you think to that then if you thought that was better,it becomes a job of just colouring in glass when you use proper hot water like the jump from ladders to a pole when you have a good WFP technique.

I use the Gardiner yellow-greenish hot hose as well as the orange they do they are both very good they don’t kink with very hot water.
