New Gardiner pole

Snapped my old Extreme today, very sad. It’s the old style so unable to replace the section needed, so, my question is, how much difference in use is there between the new Extreme 47 and the SuperMax 50, price wise about £300-£400. Just wondered if the difference in price is warranted in use?

Hi Blackadder

Which section has snapped - it may be that a new section will fit. Let me know which section and I can advise.

Difference between an Xtreme47 and a SuperMax50 - a world of difference and you will feel every one of the pennies saved if working with the SupeMax 50 for a period of time  :)

Hi Alex, thanks for getting back to me. I did email your company earlier but I know things are taking longer than normal to sort. I know you still had some old stock of the extreme as I purchased section 3 last year but was advised that once they were gone they would not be restocked. This time it’s section 4 that has snapped, great if you still have some in stock?

Hi Blackadder

The good news is that an X3 replacement section will be fully compatible with your older pole.

If you look at the compatibility guide on this product page - https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/x3-xtreme-25-35-44-47-replacement-sections.html

You will see that the older series 2 sections #1-3 will fit inside a new X3 section#4 and the new section #4 will fit inside the older series 2 section#5.

Whilst we are on the subject I have a metal banded extreme 25 in very good order , is it possible to add on to make it a 35  ?
I recently bought the SLX 35 and was then given the extreme  ::)roll
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

Yes you can - you could use the #6 & #7 sections from your SLX35 to do this or you could buy the Xtreme Extension Pack #6&7 - https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/x3-xtreme-twin-extension-pack-6-7.html

Thanks Alex , I thought that would be the answer but was not 100% sure that the metal banded extreme would allow it  !
