Looks about 2 hours work

£125 is a good shout, id be about the same.
If you ever want any work m8 email me I’ve got a swivel chair needs breaking in badly 🤣🤣,this thread gets better by the minute you don’t do tarmaccin at all as well do you lol.

If you don't work in the same area that I do then your opinion or what you charge is of no relevance to me at all.

That’s peanuts for that anywhere Tax and running costs are the same you’re mortgage might not be but all other expenses are, fuel doesn’t alter from town to town much nor does Tesco’s or Sainsbury’s prices.
If I filled the van with fuel paid tax and ins on that job I’d be down if they paid me straight after I’d cleaned it.

The market rate for window cleaning isn't the same though is it.  ::)roll

If you used a full tank of fuel on 1 job then yes you might be struggling but does each job you have need a full tank of fuel?

£60 pH is over my normal rate on domestic  windows so it will do me just fine.

I reckon on a 6 monthly schedule it would take me 2- 2.1/2 hours, assuming it was close by other work I would be £160. Peanuts for some but good enough for me.

It’s not up to me what you charge I would lose on that job at that price,I price those jobs like they won’t last there’s hardly ever face to face relationships with the customer I never price per hour I price per job and what I think it’s worth.
If a customer says to me how longs it going to take I would say what difference does that matter 20 minutes it’s still 50 quid,an hour and a half still 50 quid. If a customer said to me how long will it take to clean I’d walk anyway lol no one wants customers like that.
I look at those as bonus money bread and butter domestics that get the odd small roof cleaned for free I’d look after, flats or offices have the loyalty of a cat.

Leave them
Jobs to the swivel brigade they ain’t got to get up to the coal face in the morning and graft, who cares how cheap you can go in at when you ain’t got to clean it. 125 when it’s costing you 50-60 in labour happy days, believe it or not that’s how it’s looked upon too it’s a turnover numbers game the more you turnover the more the bank will let you get in debt.

I’ve always said it a very good route of work would supply 2 boneheads in a van with wages and work and still earn you a percentage each month with what you can do on your own money wise.
You charge 25 for something someone else may charge 50 for and that’s done right across the board that’s 2 rounds in 1 financially,up here for thinking down there for dancing and all that 🤣🤣

Massive block of flats huge Nursing home when I drive by and see 2-3-4 lads cleaning it with a fleet of vans parked nearby the first thing I think is that’s getting cleaned within an inch of its price lol,no other way to do it when there’s loads of mouths to feed.

Exactly. You get this when guys start justifying to customers what they’re charging by saying they have Public Liability insurance. Like they need to allow for their full yearly premium on every 3 bed bungalow.

When someone posts as often and in such an opinionated way as NWH you know he’s talking for effect and not out of experience.

I’m a fairly newbie but that has got £300 written all over it.

Good days graft with dinner money or give it to someone who speculates to  accumulate and as already stated ends out cleaning lots of nursing homes as a living.

I have a small good paying round and would like this as a good earner twice a year as a change.  If I had to price to keep I’m sure their are lots of one man bands or multi’s that can and will undercut.

It all depend how much you need it.

No way is that gonna take all day!its a 90 min job on maintenance cleans, add on another 30 mins for driving to and from the job.....
price higher/work harder!

We would want £250  for that 6 monthly clean is a one off not a regular job in my books , we do jobs like that on a  4 weekly  basis for £150 and 8 weekly for £180

My £130 for that job would be a maintenance clean( 8 or 12 weekly)for twice a year I'd go in at £190.....
price higher/work harder!

£160- £200 depending how much I wanted it and how local it is. 3 hours work tops and would be a nice job at that price.

I know everyone needs a certain amount of work to survive. But since ive started doing this ive always said id rather sit at home 2 days a week than be out working for poor money. If a guy charges half what you charge he has to work twice as long to get the same money all within reason obviously. We all know some custies who if we paid them to clean their Windows they would still find some reason to complain about price .

Get over yourself!

So you wouldn't clean that job if it ONLY earned you £65 an hour?

£45k+  a year for working part time hours is very good money where I live.....I'll stick with my prices thank you.....

By the way I've had some commercial jobs for over 10 years now....

Why would i limit myself to 60/65 per hour . And as was said earlier there is a difference between 60 an hour for us and somebody working in an office or something. 60 an hour after all overheads deducted id be delighted. In my opinion we provide a valuable service particularly on a job like that in terms of health and safety etc so why undervalue ourselves. For the record im not being critical of anyones price but original prices did seem to me well on the lower side . However obviously a lot of things come into that in location and competition etc.

I think we should all apologize to OP though after turning this into a my price is better than yours contest 🙈😂
