What would you charge?
« on: July 20, 2020, 03:42:20 pm »

Commercial work, looks like it has been done about six months ago.
Windows on all sides of the building.
You don’t have to go up the fire escape. All the doors on the fire escape are fire doors with no windows.
I am thinking £125 every six months plus VAT.
What do you think?

I would be around the 150 + VAT. so there or there abouts -  comes down to small things like is it local, other work nearby and how quick you/staff are at cleaning it

125 😂 I can see this being another 1 of those threads lol,I’d say you can have the job and you can do it as often as you like.
That’s not a 125 pound job anywhere.

Few bases covered there saying depending if it’s staff or me cleaning it lol,I’ve had this debate before price what it’s worth or price to get the job at 180 incl vat multiple van operations are killing the job lol.

When I went WFP I vowed to not drop drastically price wise  from laddering jobs,do it off a ladder then you’ll get a more realistic price in your head because that’s not far off what it should be worth.
People will say yeah but it can be done in a fraction of the time now which is true and that’s the reason why bigger firms undercut these jobs and clean them for the price of 2 houses in a good area 😂.

I don’t care if it took me an hour the time it will take wouldn’t be what I’d base my price on solely,I don’t know what you get for that type of work where you are but these kind of jobs are fast becoming not worth doing.
Like I say horses for courses depends what kind of domestic work you’ve got,to some people it might not be worth coming off domestics for, lot of looking up cleaning that but as someone has said if they don’t have to clean it and they can use a hired monkey 🐒 jobs a goodn 🤣🤣.

Jobs like that should give you an easy day joined in with a couple of good houses, that day would be my catch up money day if I’d been rained off during that week it was due.
Everyone’s getting cheaper and cheaper, killing it that kind of money for a job like that wouldn’t even be thought of 10-15 years ago down south bigger firms with meerkats for staff driving prices to the floor.

That’s the trouble with this swivel chair brigade see when you aren’t out in the battlefield fighting the fight you lose the sense of what graft these jobs take it’s all about the turnover 🤣,who cares I ain’t having to clean it lol. Why would you want a job like that Daz unless you needed the work if you can get around that sort of money on houses, those kind of jobs should be a bonus that you can make up for rainy days on.

Lol means nothing with the Vat they pay the Vat they claim the Vat,that 65 an hour is drastically reduced the time you pay the Tax etc fuel for van and heater wear and tear.
Price it again Daz when you end up with 65 quid an hour in you’re pocket m8 😉,you are gonna be cleaning jobs like that for about 90-95 quid.

The Vat means diddly that’s what the government want on any given purchase or invoice it doesn’t reflect the price you want, you want X some have said forget the Vat all you are doing is passing it on or collecting it for em.
How many of those have a Vat registered window cleaning business gotta turnover at those prices 🤣🤣🤣,that’s enough to make me fall off my chair let alone swivel lol.
