Thinking of getting into gutter cleaning as an add on to window cleaning.

You will require 6.5 kva if your getting 3000+ watt machine

I have a Honda powered stephill that run without fault for 9 years

But look a sgs they do lonchin powered ones at real good prices I have an 8kva it's a bit heavy o
For one man but again been very reliable for over 2 years

Both have always started on the first pull or turn of the key - nothing worse than one not starting and you have pull  start it 8 or 9 times to get it running

Ive a 3.5 kva and it runs my nilfisk alto 11 maxi fine. You have to plug vaccum directly into generator, it cant take step down from running an extension lead from it.  Ill send on photo of it tomorrow.

^^^^^ what Darran says.

I have a 1500w single motor vacuum cleaner. The factory did startup tests to determine max current spike draw on startup. Max was 22.6 amps at 230v. This is 5.2kva.
If you are going to get a gen set then 6.5kva will just cover all bases as you are starting the vac motors separately.

There was another gutter vac supplier now retired who said his 1500 w single motor vacuum cleaner would run in a 2kva generator.  Maybe a large starter capacitor or soft start provision would help, I don't know.

Success is 1% inspiration, 98% perspiration and 2% attention to detail!

The older I get, the better I was ;)

once you get out the van put it on a fold up sack trolley if  the base is too small put a peice of wood on the base of the trolley.
wheel it about like that i do it this with a back pack when i have to go over rough terrain  and cover 400m  once every 8 weeks

Has no one pimped up and exhaust system out the van doors?
Or run with all the van doors open?
I wouldn't want to shift it in and out of the van!
The 4.5kva that came with my first set up was heavy enough!
WE CLEAN BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT WITH WATER FED POLE WHEN WORKING AT HEIGHT.
