I am looking to buy a CLX 22 for cleaning FSG and conservatory roofs.
Which brush would you recommend as there are quite a lot to choose from, soft, medium, stiff, flocked.

Are the standard 2mm pencil jets x 2 sufficient?

I’ve used medium mixed with fans aw well

I think the magic ingredient is elbow grease🤦‍♂️

In the end Ladder windscreen Ice scraper
And melamine white pads

Charged £15 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I’m a mug 😭

Took just over an hour maybe that’s my fault
Lost 20 minutes wfp and tfr

Lichen are absolute nightmare
Side out of shot was quite green

What would you guys have charged
Hindsight £35

Customer said no one was interested in doing

Sure you already know but :

On fascia soffit gutters (white Upvc)

No nonsense degreaser in a spray bottle 50%
With 50% pure

Spray on brush scrub leave 2 minutes then rinse

Not got a backpack had 2 and broke
But a
Better way

Apply detergent then unplug pole and connect to customers outside tap

I use a copycat xhose for this
The elasticated hose it grows 😁

Have a pole hose male coonector
That joins pole and garden hose for a strong rinse

I don’t use anything but a weak ubiks mix on self cleaning glass on Connie roofs

I think the roof looks very good, the customer must be very happy. I am sure we have all quoted too low and a couple of minutes into the job realised it 

Yes I do spray a degreaser on UPVC first and let it sit for a few minutes then rinse off.
Thanks for confirming that I need the anti snag 'Hozelock type' male plug.

Do you find the copycat X hose springs a leak?
I have a couple and they keep bursting even when I have the tap turned down low, it may be just a sub standard make that I bought. They are great space savers but I also take an ordinary hose with me.

I wouldn’t dream of doing FSG and conservatory roofs with a CLX, you’d be better paying the extra for an SLX, it will pay for itself as your body won’t be in bits.

He’s had 2 xhoses

And now a copycat one
He’s says the reason they split is hanging them up to dry

He keeps hose in a builders bucket

I’ve never split them 😁

I wouldn’t dream of doing FSG and conservatory roofs with a CLX, you’d be better paying the extra for an SLX, it will pay for itself as your body won’t be in bits.

CLX poles are far to whippy for FSG and con roofs, buy a slx you wont regret it.

Buy an Xtreme brush for f/S/g cleans as they are light.
 Put fan jets in it for a decent spread of water.
Virosol is good to spray on the brush neat or have it partly diluted in a handy bucket so you can keep dipping your brush in, then back up to the gutters. By the time you’ve gone round applying the Virosol to one side and gable of the house , you can go back and start cleaning it off.  It’s quick and effective.
As above, sack off the CLX idea, it will fatigue you really quickly. Get an SLX. Well worth paying a little extra for one. Your shoulders will thank you at the end of the day

That’s the sort thing I’d change to fans for and as for the brush flocked or mono whatever cover with degreaser and scrub,those kind of jobs is what hot water was invented for.

I wouldn't be using a Extreme either, cleaning FSG gives the pole some stick, extreme sections are too.weak.

Anything but an extreme now and it’s like you’ve done 2 days work in 1,you’ve got to use 1 for a week to see the difference it becomes so much easier you feel like you need a mask and cloke when you’re riding back to Nottingham lol.
