Izettle. Runs via an app on phone or tablet. £20 to buy a reader then 1.7% per transaction

Hi could anyone one help regarding contactless paying who to use ect cheers for help thanks Michelle .

I’ve just signed up with SumUp. They have an offer at the mo £29 plus Vat for the reader and they take  I think 1.69% for each transaction. Paired with their app on your phone it’s so easy. First day one old dear for a small bungalow used their debit card. Following week I took £127 in debit card transactions. Will cost me a couple of quid in costs.  I’ve been  going round putting up some prices I’ve neglected to put up for a few years and it will more than cover the costs of the transactions I’m making. Encouraging customers to pay by debit card rather than cheques. Really good system.
Hope it helps.

I have sum up few years . After an intitial problem with original card reader they replaced it. Good service its 2.75% per transaction here maybe it's different in uk. They have an option where you can send someone a link too and they can pay you remotely. Obvs transaction charge is high but i just pass it onto custy no charge on cash if they pay that way 😉 definitely would recommend sum up though and payment goes through about 3 working days after transaction. One of lads might send you a link for it if you going with them they used to offer some sort of bonus for recommending.

i also use sum up ..had it for over a year now...you can take payment over the phone too with the virtual terminal on the app,,,,i use mine every week for contactless payments but its only a few here and there...

i reckon 70% of my customers pay by BACS  now since the lockdown ,10% card  and 20% cash payments on day of clean, thats it....occasionally i get the odd cheque too but only had one £45 cheque in 3 months! ;D
price higher/work harder!

Why not try stripe? You have the option of making a card payment a repeating monthly amount there too so for regular cleans ...
