Can anyone recommend some good waterproofs? Just for cleaning fascias & guttering in the rain.

Our current ones from Screwfix  leak at the seams.

I have 2 gortex jackets(a north face and bergaus)and a sailing jacket from decathlon.......the TRIBORD sailing jacket is the best and it's the cheapest too(around £90)but it's quite heavy which is fine in the winter months but can be too hot for summer wet weather working.....

No matter what you use your gonna get wet when its torrential rain for hours on end(like today)....its almost impossible to work in.....I'd rather sack the day off than work in this!luckily its not often that the weather is this wet!😁👍

Ive just ordered a regatta jacket  which might just be going back now as  found this after Dazmonds recommendation. It wont be the same one as is much cheaper but looks worth a try as a summer waterproof.

You get what you pay for with waterproofs I find. The low end cheaper jackets will leak quite easily especially on days like today.

I bought one of these last summer and although I only use it for Hiking in the mountains , it’s easily the best jacket I’ve owned. Spent a full day out in gale force winds and sideways rain in January and it kept me bone dry. It’s only an outer shell so you’ll need to add a fleece to it in winter.

As above with the jackets  but the trousers you will be bone dry with jump ins    from rukka.  Yamaha motorbike shops sell them there not cheap  there  gortex trousers

I bought this with the fleece that attached to it. To be honest I took the fleece out as I just get too hot. As with most waterproof stuff you should buy the waterproof spray and re do it every so often but I never have. Had it about 18 months now and still looks new. Quality stuff but maybe not for staff.

I bought some Englebert-Strauss waterproof trousers few years ago. They do a good job, with handy pockets for keys and money. Not too pricey.

I picked up some of the more expensive decathlon stuff. And I picked up some of the cheapest stuff.
You can get the top and the trousers together for £16 I would probably buy 3 pairs of those to be honest with you. I don't know but I think it's better than one  expensive jacket
