Those dreaded words
« on: June 12, 2020, 10:13:44 pm »
You hate your long standing custy to say . “ just to let you know we are moving out next month “ and you reply “ thanks for your custom the last 20 years , I didn’t know your houses was up for sale “                        Here it comes “ it isn’t we are renting it out , but I will leave your details for the tenants “     Don’t bother , or they pay 12 months up front . It’s even worse when it’s smack bang in the middle of a run of easy compact work .

That wouldn’t bother me in the slightest unless you’ve only got 5 customers.
Customers come and go , it’s part of the job ✌️

My Customers get posted all the time. Never got many who are three years as Customers.
At certain times of the year I will lose around 30% of my round!
But on the positive, you get used to it and every time someone moves I up the price.
Suppose I must be known now as the work always stays constant.

Ask if they are going to put a clause in the rental agreement whereby the tenant needs to clean the windows (or get the windows cleaned) every x months - they might like the idea of this since it keeps the house in good nick. I have a few like this ... For one customer I have to even provide an invoice so they can prove that they are abiding by the rental agreement.
