Why is a bank bad or terrible? I’m with Santander , the money lands there and that’s it. Can’t say anything good or bad about them as it’s just a destination where the money lands ???

Same. I’m with NatWest. Money shows instantly when customers transfer, that’s all I care about.

Text message when a payment hits your account? Just check on your online banking app, it’s takes literally 5 seconds.
Aren't Nat West horrendously expensive? We moved because of the fees. Even then, to have stayed would have been well over £1,000 a year. It would be more than double that now!

I use a NatWest personal account as I’m not LTD anymore, so for me it’s free. The business bank charges are quite high from memory though yes.

Me too. They did try to pressure me into a business bank account a long time back. For the few transactions I do it would have cost me £80 a month for that account.

Actually thinking back, I think we estimated about £200 a month then. Eye watering. We're double that turnover now at least so I dread to think what it might be.

I moved from HSBC to Lloyds arround 3 years ago and I think they're a whole lot better than any other bank I've been with (all 4 of the big ones). When I moved, I opened a personal account (free banking) because I went semi-retired and didn't have the turnover any more, but they've never raised the fact that I have payments coming in from all sorts of sources.

Santander me

Free business banking

Was thinking of changing
Just because they’ve shut 2 out of 3 branches local to me

Was thinking of NatWest as more branches

But won’t bother now reading posts 🤦‍♂️

Once Barclays started charging for cheques , bacs and cash deposits I had to rethink. It was costing £150 plus a month !!
Now I’m on Barclays e payments account 7.50 a month For unlimited bacs payments.
Plus a Santander account for all my cheques and cash for 7.50 a month. This account I just let build for tax , expenses etc
So £15 all in all instead of £150
